i put a readme for a reason but i guess some people just dont know how to read them ... anyways you need deamon tools to mount then you install ROLLERCOASTER TYCOON 2 in the rollercoaster tycoon 2 folder theres another folder that says crack place rct2.exe in the crack folder to ur ROLLERCOASTER TYCOON 2 install directery. the game will work fine once you place the crack in the install directery.

Okay, I downloaded this.
Mounted with Daemon Tools....it automatically loaded.
Installed like a breeze.
RCT2 plays fine
RCT2 Wacky Worlds plays fine
However RCT2 Time Twister does NOT work. God knows why, Im puzzled because the scenarios for time twister come up on the main game screen, but when clicked it says "unable to load files, requires Time Twister". But I just installed it! LOL I dunno, I tried everything from checking the C:/ drive, moving folders around, reinstalling but to nothing. Oh well. RCT2 and the wacky worlds expansion work perfectly. :)
P.S. This is an english version. The american version is pretty bland so to speak. :)
P.S.S Magic Iso will not mount this file. Neither will PowerISO. You need DAEMON TOOLS. It is a .isz file. That is Daemon Tools ONLY.

This is my problem:
I downloaded, mounted, and placed the rtc2.exe crack in the install directory. But- the file it was supposed to replace wasn't there, so it didn't overwrite any files, which is probably the reason why it is not working for me.
The list of files installed in my folder:

but the original rct2 is not there.

I was getting the same problem as Kdzale, i was getting error while oppening Time Twister maps...
But i cold fix it, the problem is the crack.
So, the right way to install is the followin:
-First install the normal RollerCoaster 2
-Put the crack (who came in torrent) in the RollerCoaster folder (overwrite the original exe)
-Run the game for the first time, when the game load close it
-Now install Wacky Worlds expansion, run the game, then close it
-Now go to download the "RCT2: Wacky Worlds v1.0..." (by clicking in the blue diskete above) crack and install it (put the rct2.exe and RegSetup.exe in RollerCoaster folder, run regsetup.exe and when it finish run rct2.exe)
-If u made it u can now install the Time Twister expansion

However I tried to install the game like RenanSPH said, but when I try to install the wacky worlds expansion, the installer says something really weird (like: it can't find the other installation or something).

sep11insidejob, you're using an illegal hacking tool (you want to crack a game, no?), so your AV will possibly detect a virus on it, but isn't, its just a hacking tool. The file is 100% virus clean. If you still dont trust, just dont download the crack and buy an original disk.
paper951 you dont have to overwrite any folder, you just have to overwrite the rct2.exe file (usually placed in %Program Files%\Infogrames\RollerCoaster Tycoon 2) to the cracked rct2.exe.
If anyone still gettin problems, try to run the game (rct2.exe) or the installer (setup.exe) as Administrator, specially if you're using windows Vista.

I followed RenanSPH's instructions but when i when i downloaded the files from the link on step 5 it sed that rct2.exe had a trojan but seeing as no one else as picked up a trojan on that file im guessing that it is just me, other that that GREAT torrent! it IS virus free and it DOES work(if you use RenanSPH's instructions)
PS.I was using Trend Micro Internet Security 08 for my virus protection when i picked up the so-called trojan.

I recommend that you first uninstall (and delete) all components of Rollercoaster Tycoon 2 you installed so far and then follow exactly the steps RenanSPH pointed out earlier.
Btw: you should prevent your Virus Scan from deleting the file RenanSPH mentioned (the crack you're downloading after installing the Wacky Worlds pack), because this is definitely not a virus. When you're following the link he posted the crack you need is the one that is the last on the list at this page, so the one that says "No-CD/Fixed".
If you follow exactly the steps that are pointed out by RenanSPH it should definitely work! Btw, you don't have to register the game when they ask you to. Just choose for "Close" and then click "Never Register"

Ok, here is a very precise guide on how to install:
1. Download with a BitTorrent program.
2. Mount the iso file with daemon tools.
3. Install.
4. Install both expansions.
5. Copy the crack to the game folder, but rename the rc2.exe to rc2.bak first. (This won't do good, it's just so that you have a backup in case something goes wrong.)
6. Play the game.

Those with problems getting the expansion to work: you will need an additional crack not found here, read comments page 2 for instructions.
Those with virus concerns: the code in most cracks comes up as viral with today's scanners and their heruistics. You should be impressed that your scanner is alert enough to detect cracking code within an executable, but understand that it's a false positive. HijackThis shows no system differences before and after installing and playing this game.

Okay so since so many people had no problem installing and getting this game to work i just could not give up I've been trying to install for 2 days! I've uninstalled and installed over and over and nothing but finally i figured it out! And after reading all these comments over and over i realized a few other people are most likely doing the mistakes i did so Im going to explain a little easier for the newbies (like myself) in a way that i wish someone had said a lottt earlier lol.
Im not going to type everything so like many people say follow renansph's instructions from page 2
everythings easy untill the part where you copy and paste the crack into the install directory.
What is the install directory?
Well the default is C:\Program Files\Infogrames Interactive\RollerCoaster Tycoon 2
DO NOT do what i did and try to copy the crack and go to start menu the to infogrames the try and paste it into the RollerCoaster tycoon 2 folder since it will not overwrite anything there they do not have the same name and you cannot rename it. Wont work.
INSTEAD go to run (on vista you can do this by pulling the start menu up and typing run into the start search box) when it comes up enter this or if you changed it from the default enter your own install directory but most the time it will be c:\program Files\Infogrames Interactive\RollerCoaster Tycoon 2
Once that folder opens copy the crack and paste it into the install directory and it will ask you to copy and replace choose that option and viola!! it should be working.
Please dont make fun of me for my newbie mistakes im just proud i figured it out :]

1. Get the NO CD patch here-
2. download, get the Rct2.exe (you don't need the other thing in the folder)
3. Put the Rct2.exe into the Crack folder, replacing the one that came with the download

I have seen one two other people post about a virus, and upon installing the full Roller Coaster Tycoon 2 game (not one of the expansions) my system popped up with finding a "Program:Win32/PowerRegScheduler" which if you search for it online it lists it as something to gather demographic information and return it to the user. So, not extremely harmful, but still there. I easily removed it and since have not found anything else. Just wanted to make an account and post about it seeing as this is the first time I have ever had anything like that attached to a torrent from TPB.

i've been having this problem with every RCT2 torrent i've tried, i can't run the setup.exe off the ISO. it's mounted to a virtual drive, the setup's been run as an administrator, run in compatibility mode for windows XP, and it still does not run. It will start up, show its splash screen, and then crash.
