Same problem here, it asks for a activition code and it doesn´t work with to just dig any numbers.

Entering any 11 digit Activation Code as below brings up the Activate button...
but, "Could not install license." is always the response. i.e. doesn't work!

Did not work here either with an 11 digit code.
(also, the install gave a fail prompt about running a postinstall. However, I quit and opened FCP and the activation prompt did pop up.)

WORKS!!!!
I GOT IT TO WORK!!!!
Just follow my new guide. If already installed, just pick up where you show package contents.
Install the pkg file as per normal. (It will install with errors, it's ok)
Then right click on the package install and show package contents
open Contents>Resources>FxLicenseManager
Install FxLicenseManager (It will install with errors, it's ok)
Run Tiffen DFX v2 by opening Final Cut
The activation system will come up.
Select Activate Dfx
Enter Dfx product code: ABCD-ABCD-ABCD-ABCD-ABCD
Select Telephone Activation
Enter any 11 digit Activation Code (22222222222)
try hitting activate a couple time then it will go through.
The package has been activated. Do not register with them and do not allow fxtool to connect to tiffen.softwareactivate.com if it tries. (little snitch)

after installing FxLicenseManager
Restart your computer. So if it's not working just restart your computer and try it again.
