There's already a rip for this film at tpb, but in my opinion the size is too big (1.8 GB). This film has monaural audio and is black-and-white, so I think this 1-CD rip will suffice for most pruposes. The film as such needs no introduction, it is one of the most famous neo-realist films by Zavattini and De Sica, both of whom were nominated for awards.

Umberto D. is a 1952 Italian neorealist film, directed by Vittorio de Sica. Most of the actors were non-professional, including Carlo Battisti, who plays the title role. It tells the story of Umberto Domenico Ferrari (Carlo Battisti), an old man in Rome who is desperately trying to keep his apartment on a small state pension, but whose landlady (Lina Gennari) is attempting to drive out to fit her social lifestyle. He tries to find the money but is unwilling to beg to his richer friends, and cannot be helped by his only true friends, a pregnant maid (Maria-Pia Casilio) and his dog, Flike (called 'Flag' in some subtitled versions of the film).

I agree, but this is also one of the most written-about films and surely the most overrated among De Sica's works. The more info, the more seeders, of course, but I think a few seeders are better than an IMDb link. I've seen crappy films get very good ratings in IMDb.
Thanks for the link, though. I always give the IMDb tag while making torrents, but it never shows up.
Pulling out of the swarm, the torrent is yours now. Thanks, all.

In my opinion, this movie does not warrant the full image on tpb...anyway, this is a rip. There are some uploaders on the bay who speacialise in DVDR...you should perhaps look at those, and not bother with rips. As I said, a 700-MB rip does justice to this B&W movie. But everybody has his/her own reasons...sushant_rocky (2009-10-02)
thank you for the upload.......and i agree with you ,700mb for a BW just right.zeinabqureshi (2009-12-08)
@Sushant,Thank you for downoading. I guess the idea of a rip is to let you watch the movie, and maybe, if you like it, do an and purchase a DVD or BD or whatever. Very few movies actually deserve an outright purchase, at least that's what my experience (I have over 2500 DVDs/movies in my collection) taught me. Like there are maybe a dozen or two books worth reading, there are about the same number of movies worth preserving. All others will qualify for just a casual look.
Thanks again for downloading.
