I'm having a problem with this release. I can play DVD's and Blu-ray's fine in the normal Power DVD player. But when I try to play them in Windows Media Center, using the Power DVD plugin, the sound doesn't work.
I was able to reproduce the problem on 2 computers, both running Windows 7 x64. I don't know if this is Power DVD's problem, or a problem with your release, but I thought I would mention it.

I have a little problem and i taught u may be able help me ...
I have 2 DVD-ROM and when I start PowerDVD ... it keeps asking me which drive I would like to set as default ... even I'm selecting one of them ... it's continues asking next time I run the program . I had not this issue with previous versions .

I've created a fix,.. it works on my system and I hope it also works on yours.
Create a new text document and copy and paste the lines below:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

"UIFocusCDDrive"=dword:00000008
"UIFocusPrevDrive"=dword:00000006
Save the file as FocusDriveFix.reg and merge it.
PowerDVD will ask the question one more time and now it should save it.

Ehm can't play bluray movies on this one! It worked with powerdvd 9! Help Please! It just don't read the bluray disk. Tried 2 different blurays that i've downloaded!

@ Moamma: Try a clean re-install:
1) Uninstall PowerDVD and reboot.
2) Create a new text document and copy and paste the lines below:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00


Save the file as CleanupPDVD.reg and merge it.
This will remove the PowerDVD settings from the registry.
3) Re-install PowerDVD.
@ jobinmathew: They are probably not ripped correctly.
Guide for unprotected Blu-ray ISO for PowerDVD:
Most of the time you can fix the image by checking the folder structure and adding the missing folders.

HOLY SHIT I just installed this player and it just blew my fucking mind how vivid the picture is!!! I had to jump up from my HTPC and comment. I have traditionally been a TMT3 user but no longer.

Just have a question. I tend to get Blu-Ray DVD torrents, and they download in a MP4 format. I don't have a Blu-Ray DVD player, and my current DVD player wont play MP4 formats. But I do have the 42" 1080 HDTV connected to my PC via HDMI! In the past I tend to play movies with VLC player, and watch it on my 42" 1080 HDTV via the HDMI channel.
So if I use PowerDVD 10 as my "Blu-Ray DVD player", and have the HDMI channel on the TV turnt on, will I still get Blu-Ray quality on my 42" 1080 HDTV, even though the file is being played via PowerDVD on my PC.
Hope that makes sense...

Hello, I've a problem. Ik downloaded this torrent . I don't get any sound. I thought it had something to do with the fact that those .mkv-files have DTS audio (the torrent uses DTS 1509kbps
), but then again PowerDVD 10 is DTS-audio compatible, isn't? (By the way the same story when I use Divx Player Plus) Or are the files the problem? Could someone help me out here, thanx in advance!

Hi please can someone please help. I have installed as per instructions but when I restarted to complete install I get an error message saying could not find a file on the specified path or disk unable to locate file the program is in my program list and runs from shortcut it has placed on my desktop but the installer program runs and I get this error message every time I restart my pc and also when I try to uninstall it...running Windows 7 32bit ultimate.
