Description:
Old shows really do have something different. They sound rawer in many ways. In addition, some of the songs are completely different from how they are played today. Listen to the "Forgive Me," which is played at a much more languid pace, which makes the murder seem all that more haunting. On "Shining Moon," Mike's guitar riff sounds much more jagged.
Further, some songs haven't been played in years. "Captain Kidd" is one, a song that appeared in 1988 and inexplicably vanished soon thereafter. Margo mentions having recorded it for "Caution Horses," but despite its intriguing melody the band abandoned it. It's recently appeared online again at the Latent Download Site as part of what would have been called "Sharon," an album the band shelved.
Another rare tune is "Dead Flowers," a Rolling Stones' song that appeared on "Sticky Fingers." The group reworked the Stones' version, making it completely their own.
This is truly "one from the vault," so I hope you enjoy it.

The comments above were taken from the website. The comments below are mine. You can decode the Lossless audio FLAC files into WAV files with
your favorite decoder ( see
http://flac.sourceforge.net/download.html
) then write them to a CD with no gapsbetween the tracks (i.e. Disk At Once) for a complete "Live"
show.
When you finish downloading this Torrent you can decode the FLAC files into a different folder to make the CDs. That way you can continue to seed the show for awhile.
I'm at the end of a long, very slow pipe and I stupidly put up all 25 shows at the same time. So when one show completes I pause it so the others will speed up. I didn't expect that there would be so many people who hadn't gotten the shows from http://www.4thellamas.com/index.htm .
This was an experiment for people who were on dial-up and couldn't download easily from the site. I do leave the second machine in the other room seeding all the shows, but it isn't as fast as this one. I'll keep seeding, but help with that from the faster machines out there is appreciated.
Thanks.
These shows are out here because the band gave permission.
