Woodmorappe shows from standard recommended floor space requirements for animals that all of them together would have needed less than half the available floor space of the Ark’s three decks. This arrangement allows for the maximum amount of food and water storage on top of the cages close to the animals.
Food requirements
The Ark would probably have carried compressed and dried foodstuffs, and probably a lot of concentrated food. Perhaps Noah fed the cattle mainly on grain, plus some hay for fibre. Woodmorappe calculated that the volume of foodstuffs would have been only about 15 % of the Ark’s total volume. Drinking water would only have taken up 9.4% of the volume. This volume would be reduced further if rainwater was collected and piped into troughs.
Excretory requirements
It is doubtful whether the humans had to clean the cages every morning. Possibly they had sloped floors or slatted cages, where the manure could fall away from the animals and be flushed away (plenty of water around!) or destroyed by vermicomposting (composting by worms) which would also provide earthworms as a food source. Very deep bedding can sometimes last for a year without needing a change. Absorbent material (e.g. sawdust, softwood wood shavings and especially peat moss) would reduce the moisture content and hence the odour.
Hibernation
The space, feeding and excretory requirements were adequate even if the animals had normal day/night sleeping cycles. But hibernation is a possibility which would reduce these requirements even more. It is true that the Bible does not mention it, but it does not rule it out either. Some creationists suggest that God created the hibernation instinct for the animals on the Ark, but we should not be dogmatic either way.
Some skeptics argue that food taken on board rules out hibernation, but this is not so. Hibernating animals do not sleep all winter, despite popular portrayals, so they would still need food occasionally.

THANK YOU EnkiEa for the torrent. For some reason I kept getting 'error 2123' when I tried to run from my Win7 O/S, but when I loaded onto my 'Virtual XP O/S' it worked like a charm.
One thing that I did do differently from your instructions was to actually burn the language .iso files I want to use onto DVD's.

I have had all sorts of trouble trying to get this to work. I made the mistake of trying to activate the program. Because there was so much crap written I missed the part not to activate.
Here is how I fixed it.
Place this file in to PROGRAM FILES. If it says the file name is too long, then place it in the C DRIVE. Then move it in PROGRAM FILES. This seems to work. Then open PROGRAMS FILES, then open 242.Rosetta Stone folder, then open Installation folder, then open Rosetta Stone V3.4.7 folder. Then run 242.Rosetta Stone V3.4.7 Setup. This will install it.
**Do Not Update, Activate, or Register anything...ever, or you will have to uninstall and do this all over again**
At this stage you might not have any languages to use.
I went into the language folders and burnt or mounted the ISO file on to a blank CD using a free program at http://www.freeisoburner.com/
Then I put the disc back into the CD ROM and installed the Language Level. The program must be opened at this stage. I message will pop up asking if you would like to add a language.
Once you have installed the language, it will allow you to run the program but only the first few lessons. To unlock all the lessons you will need a crack to unlock it.
Go to and download this file.
Simple and easy installation of crack file.
1) Install. Uncheck box at bottom right corner at the end of installation. Open "cracked" folder from Rosetta Stone you just Downloaded
2) Go to "Computer"/"My Computer" to access Local Disk (C:)

This already has a crack folder to copy and paste into the install folder. I used Daemon-Tools Lite to install the language files. I had to change the Daemon-Tools Drive to Drive 'D' for the installs. I had to set Windows Firewall to Automatic and Start to install the main program, and then after that I went back and turned it off and set it back to manual as I have Outpost Firewall running. All this except for having to have a fake drive 'D' was in the EXCELLENT install directions. This has to be one of the most EXCELLENT install instructions I have ever see. ALL the language files are there in the needed ISO format. Thank you EnkiEa.
