Career He is best known for his 1969, UK number one hit, "Where Do You Go To (My Lovely)"; a portrait of a poor-born girl who becomes a member of the Euro jet-set. Set to a faux European waltz tune, it reached the top chart position in 14 other countries, but was only a minor hit in the U.S. The song was awarded the 1969 Ivor Novello Award, (together with David Bowie's "Space Oddity"). Other Sarstedt songs include "Beirut", "Take Off Your Clothes", "I Am A Cathedral" and "Frozen Orange Juice" (UK #10 in 1969). In the 1980s and 1990s he frequently toured the UK as part of the 'Solid Silver '60s' package tours. "Where Do You Go To" was later used in the 2007 Wes Anderson films Hotel Chevalier and The Darjeeling Limited which sparked new interest in Sarstedt's music. Siblings: Peter Sarstedt's brothers are: Richard Graham Sarstedt, who also topped the UK Singles Chart himself in 1961, with "Well I Ask You", under the stage name of Eden Kane. Robin Sarstedt, (born Clive Robin Sarstedt, January 21, 1944, Ajmer, Rajastan, Northern India) (the youngest brother), who made his recording debut as Wes Sands (recorded by Joe Meek), and then continued as Clive Sands. I just finished downloading this torrent of yours, and I was wondering if you also had "As Though It Were a Movie" (1969)? I've been looking for that album everywhere, and haven't been able to find it anywhere but Amazon. If you don't, that's fine, I just figured I'd ask. I've only recently started listening to Peter Sarstedt, and I want to hear as much of him as I can. :)

It was recorded in 1970 and released in 2008. The site only allows 5 tracks to be d/loaded daily but if you change your computer date - go forward a day - then you can d/load 5 more and so on. Don't forget to reset the date afterwards.
The album is brilliant but then that's only an opinion.
