Thanks for the upload.
Works on a 10.4 PPC but update schedule seems to be set at every hour or so which is a nuisance as you cannot change it.

If anyone else has the update problem type the following in Terminal.
sudo symsched -d all
Followed by a reboot.
This should disable updates but you will have to remember to run it manually.
