Haven't got up to Chapter 7 yet, though yeah, a lot of people are saying it crashes. There's a save that somebody uploaded from a legit version, and it's just past the point where it crashes. Guess you could either use that or wait for a proper crack to be released.

If you noobs can't configure your torrentclient correctly, then you gotta live with bad speed -.- Open the ports, enable an uploadratio which is about 70% of your total uploadspeed (if you have 80 max, then limit it to 60, not more not less!). Open the ports for your torrentclient and enable maximum bandwith for your torrentclient. Then you get steady 500-1000 kb/sec. like me

I am having issues with mine:
Using the updated crack, I installed and moved the shortcut to the folder and used it to stop it up. The game would attempt to log on, but the screen would be black.
I looked it up, and some advice is to change the settings.txt file. But, mine did not generate. So if anyone has the settings.txt file, I sort of need it. Not sure if it will fix it, but right now, I am out of ideas.

Great torrent, works excellent on my M11x.
For all of you that get the Play option instead of the Install option when you mount the disc: Mount Disc1 (I use Daemon Tools Lite), open disc1 in Winrar, run EAInstaller (or whatever it's called), unmount disc1 when it asks for disc2, mount disc2, wait till it finishes, don't install EA updater or whatever and click finish.
Make sure you get the crack fix and apply it to the installed folder's main directory.

I have the exact same problem as xion...sadly it's probably more a system configuration error..something annoying and a pain in the ass to pinpoint and fix. Most people have no problems but there will be some that do like most everything blah. I too have no settings text in my EA folder...so that option is impossible.

@LazyAmerican; When I saw your original post, I had a feeling you might have had the same issue. In my research, it looks like it happened in Dead Space 1 as well.
But yeah, as I had noticed. The fixes people see are the ones with the Settings.txt being changed, and the joystick or gaming pad used (so disconnect em). But, since I can't seem to find the full settings.txt for deadspace 2, I cant even test this.

Downloaded fine, but when I open the two DVD folders, inside DVD 1 there are a bunch of 002, 003 etc files which is fine but the 001 is a 001.rar and I can't fucking combine all of these because that first one is a 001.rar for some random reason. DVD2 isn't this way and I have it extracted into an .iso just fine but the first DVD is all fucked up. How do I fix this? It's saying that i need Dead_Space_2-FLT\DVD1\flt-ds2a.001.r00 to keep unpacking the first DVD..??

I just started having strange troubles. After I fixed the solar panels and did the halo jump, I started loosing controls one by one. First I could no longer stomp, then I lost the ability to enter the store and save my game. Then aiming was always stuck on. Then no more controls at all. I thought it might be the crack, but a reboot fixed all. So, if it happens to you, don't freak out. Just restart.

Well, considering on both Dead Space and Dead Space 2, there were problems with a black screen. And one way to fix it was to alter the settings.txt file. Of which, I do not have, neither do others. So yeah, not an issue on my end mate.

Please note that the PC version of Dead Space 2 has a bug when you do new game+ the elite suit schematics are not in the location they are suppose to be at ; I have read on the Steam Dead Space Forum

For those of you having problems with a black screen after start up. Try moving the Movie folder to another directory. This helps the game to run fine without the glitch. But unfortunately i couldnt figure out the way to play those movies in game... help will be appreciated.

I've done this same thing before for so many different games on so many different systems exactly the same way for years and years. There's just no way I could ever understand how so many people have all these syupid little problems and complain constantly about download speeds and shit. Sometimes if you have a newly released GPU, some games, monitoring/benchmarking/overclocking software won't recognize it. This is usually resolved with by new drivers and newer software versions. I have an Asus GTX460 TOP. I had to wait from October until January for a new driver. Point being, it's not a problem with the FLT team. Slow dowload speeds are not a problem with seeds and peers on a torrent like this one.

@killerkazama11 I have been downloading and playing games for quite some time. I've had to alter and change them time to time, but nothing serious. Yes, this is a stupid little problem. The fact that it is not generating the settings.txt like it is suppose to is fairly problematic. Mixture of trolling and helping wont help anyone. And I mean seriously, I have asked for what, two days now. And not a single person is able to go out of their way to copy and paste a simple text file. I get it, with seeding and such, people just wont help. But it is such a small task. I'd rather try this instead of re-downloading it.

The crack by FLT does not support most hardware. In my case im trying to run DS2 on Win7(64bit), i5, Geforce310m Laptop, Which the previous crack didnt support. Ive downloaded the game twice but still no luck. Atlast ive decided ill download the 16gb multi. Without the cutscenes its not even worth playing. There are a lot of DS2 releases. you'll find direct links for them at www.dl4all.com. Hope that helps rather waiting for seeders.

Black screen fix!
all you have to do is, instead of click and drag the crack, you left click copy paste to the directory,
if that doesnt work, then re install the game,
to a different drive and folder.
1 choose costume install install it to a drive D or whatever other drive you have,
2 create a new file not under progarm files X86, just name it Dead Space 2
3 Copy Pasta crack, do not click and drag

Well I can tell you that moving the movies folder didn't get rid of the black screen for me. On my end, the game is apparently still running fine...I just have no picture. Could be a hardware issue and this release at this point I have no idea.

For anyone having trouble getting this to work... its not fucking hard.
Dont even bother burning this to a primitive and costly disc. Just extract the fucking ISO to your hard drive, you can use something like Magic ISO to extract the files from each ISO.
Put all files in the SAME folder. If it asks to overwrite a movie file, do it.
Then copy deadspace2.exe from the Fairlight folder into the folder with all the extracted files, which will overwrite the current deadspace2.exe file.
Click on deadspace2.exe to play game.
Fucking easy.

Thing is...the crack fix DOESN'T overwrite the current .exe unless you specifically copy and paste it. 99% of all cracks for games usually drag and drop works fine but here it will simply create a shortcut while the original .exe remains unchanged.

I'm quite experienced with torrenting things like this, but the first time I mounted the first disc and started installer, everything went fine but then it stalled at 55% for several hours, I believe it was at "Copying files" or something, so I cancelled the installation, but now when I try to run the installer, and it gets to "Standard Installation/Custom Installation" screen, "Install" is already highlighted, but clicking does nothing, and it just stops responding =/ Please help.

The way utorrent auto configs should be fine. It works out well for me anyway. I don't know how fast yours should be going exactly. I have a 10mbps connection and I started this torrent Saturday night and it was finished when I woke up Sunday. Also there were only about 80 seeds then and maybe 1200 peers. You can log into your modem and disable it's firewall and then make sure windows firewall has an exception for utorrent. This should be just as good as forwarding a port.

Works 100% without a flaw, didn't even have to go hunting on one of the CDs to get the crack and anyone who's done ISO mounted games would think this is cake.
And uhh to the guy who stated about x86.. that's 32-bit architecture and has been for years lol the x64/64-bit architecture folder would just simply be C:\Program Files.. etc. but I don't think this game supports 64 bit honestly so just line it up with it's default folder under C:\Program Files (x86), and from there just copy/paste the crack over using Admin privileges in the install folder, (default C:\Program Files (x86)\EA Games\Dead Space 2)

I had the same problem... I was using a trainer at the time... there should be a save station before you confront the prego monster... save there ... then quit dead space 2 and close your trainer... then load... it should work...

For controls problem about the one where your screen is facing the top left corner of the screen, just use Compatibility mode in your X360ce software for using your gamepad. i am using Saitek Cyborg Rumble with DS2 i was having the same issue until i changed that mode. Now It feels like im playing in a consol. and the best part of this gamepad is you can flip the analog controls from Xbox to PS. just to let you know. lol

You need to use a CD/DVD emulator to make the PC think this is a DVD inserted in the drive, INSTALL THE GAME, then copy the "crack" file (from DVD 2, as the description says) over the one installed by the DVD. Cmon guys what is this shit... Mounted and installed with crackfix, started the game on middle settings - and i can't fucking play cuz its LAAAAAAGIIIIINGGGGG all the freakin time.

Serial for uninstall? Never heard of that. Try using Ccleaner to uninstall it. It's free and it's pretty aggressive for getting rid of shit you don't want. Or, you could manually delete the install data and clean your registry. First option is better though.

Anyone looking to upgrade graphics should seriously consider the gtx460. I can play this on max settings which I did for about 2 chapters. Then I used nvidia control panel to overide the application settings to further enhance the graphics. I turned every setting in there to the max. I'm using a 32x antialiasing sample for Christ's sake. I still get 60 fps +. Also, my penis is huge and I can piss like 100 yards.

Guys, I installed a patch for lvl7 but at lvl11 there's a glitch with Nolan Strauss who keeps killing me with a fucking screwdriver. Game says pump "E" but nothing happens, and he keeps killing me.

Yeah, sounds like you failed to use the crack. You're supposed to replace the original deadspace2.exe with the one inside the fairlight folder. Unfortunately, sometimes if you attempt to run a game or any other cracked software before it's cracked, it won't work even if you do crack it. Try it anyway though.

1: Theres no fairlight folder on disk two/one. Im assuming the fairlight from the download? i used the exe in that -copyed to the deadspace folder, and replaced, OF COURSE.- but nothing happens. Just shows a cmd prompt for .001 seconds and it closes.
2: I used autoplay AND -pay attention here- AND EAINSTALL. tryed both ways, neither worked.

Keeps Freezing intermittently, I'm running 8gb ram, 64bit windows, NVIDIA GeForce 9400 GT, i've tried stopping all processes (including explorer) whilst running the game but still get the same problem.
I have already installed the crack fix to get past the door on chapter 7.
It freezes for about 10 seconds every now and again but I still get the audio. Any Ideas anyone???

@vocong once you install both disks goto the place where you installed dead space 2 should be somethin like C:\Program files(x86)\EA Games\Dead space. Once you get in the folder delete the deadspace2.exe then drag the deadspace2.exe from the fairlight folder into the dead space folder

There is and not many aren't experiencing it just like you caus you'r computer is to slow to have problems at that point. The people who have problems with it have computers on which the framerate/gamingspeed is to fast so you has to smash the E button or any other button at such a rate it isn't physically possible. That's why some people has problems with that point and to solve it you have to slow down the frame rate

I just click past the 'you can't play thisgame' bit but when it starts, the game renders wrong; Issac is mostly transparent, the graphics work at full speed, but there is some kind of layer problem. there are glitches with lighting, shading, depth rendering... it's a catastrophy of graphics and I can hardly make out what's going on. Dear EA, this game was poorly orientated, fun, but i got sick of the same " find the power node, now get ready for the onslaught in the next room" mentalilty. Which we'll take 17 tries to get our strategy down, these games don't thrill or scare, but rather force the gamer into an obsessive rage projected at the game and at the dynamics which the game holds, DS2 has a difficulty that isn't in the setting but rather in the users own mind, in other word to play this you have to forget all those normal FPS like halo and COD. Skills aquired form playing these games become obsolite in DS2

Anything one time deal. If you don't know how to download torrents thats your problem.. But to install this game or any other game you need a ISO read program like DAEMON Tools or something else. After you find a ISO read of your choice it should be easy from there on how to install. Cause ISO just a dvd/cd files which lets user to install game and what not with out dvd..

I got my own crack that i got and it allowed me to go past chapter 7 but for all of you who are whining about your download speed,is two things most importantly your internet connection and secondly your Trackers, for a faster download speed your Trackers must be better then what they are on this torrent...and it actually works for anything really lol, improves ur dl speed by twice of what it was maybe even more(for example i was at 45kb/s with me changing the trackers is at 91kb/s(alrdy got downloaded but still) go

I also have the problem that the game crashes (goes back to desktop with 'Dead space 2 stopped working') if you press a key at the 'press any key' screen. Disabled all the HID/USB devices like mentioned on 2 sites, also messed around with the settings.txt for a bit, also copied that one from the dead space 1 folder to dead space 2 folder (still in Appdata of course). You can actually see changes if you change something like full screen, but deleting those 2 entries also didn't fix the problem. Kinda running out of things to try....

Downloaded and installed, cracked with the crack that comes with the game first. When I started the game, a black screen is all i got, ctrl alt+delete only to quit. Excuse me for being a total newb but i can't seem to get the installation starting.
I've downloaded the torrent, mounted DS2_Disc1 with Daemon Tools Lite, selected english and pressed the install button. Then i get this error

Don't know how you guys got crashes... I did finish this game with this torrent.
1. download
2. install by mounting iso with magicdisc(don't start the game just yet)
3. replace the deadspace2.exe with the crack one in the fairlight folder.
4. replace the crack exe with the new one(provided below)
thats all i did and i don't have any crashes...
Did you guys use the crack in the 'Fairlight' folder that is located with the two ISOs when you guys finished downloading?
Around chapter 2/3 I did use the updated crack

Don't know if that will fix the chapter crashes but it does provide new weapons.

Something funny just happened this morning... the game worked (after 7. chapt. crack fix) and today i was switching out my HDMI connection with a VGA connection and suddenly the game wont start. only a black screen !? it worked fine last night lol?

The game completely worked for me, I didn't even need Windows Service Package 3 to let it run.
It runs 100% smooth no glitches at all, this is a very good torrent :)
Super easy to crack, I kinda worried the game would lag because new games this days needs such high requirements.
But this game needs basically the same requirements as the first game and it looks 10 times better!

I seem to have encountered another "crash", in chapter 9, the "Fuel Mega Storage" door, right next to the Save point, will not open. The game does not crash, when I approach the door the blue hologram says "Open" and when I try, the hologram begins to spin to unlock the door, but like I said the door never opens.
I have used both the original crack and the crack fix release, but that door still will not open.

Thanks sh3bangsh3bang, that cured it. My game would crash to desktop trying to open the door at the end of the 'Solar Array Control Pod' hall. The hall going to the center of the Array where the woman w/crazy glowing eyes sits inside the pod behind the door. Seems like others had the same problem as I. @p4th just mount it using daemon tools or something think of daemon tools as a dvd player you just mount the two dvds onto it and run the setup, and if you dont know what daemon tools is its a program just search it on google

lol p4th... I can tbelive you think you actually have to BURN the iso file. Install MagicDisk, download the iso file, then open up magic disk, select disk F:\\, then select Mount, then you browse for the iso file, then select it and it will be mounted. Then run it should run automatically, but if it dosnt, select the iso again via "My Computer". Once it runs, it will start installing to your computer. Make sure you have a registration code, or a crack before the installation starts, because a 10gb install takes a while. Once its installed, set up the crack and start playing!
(one more reminder: as you all probably know this is highly illegal. But you will most likely NOT get caught, and if you do, only the uploade rof the file will face legal trouble, and you will just get sued by EA for for the current cost of the game. ie: around 40 bucks.)
(yet another reminder: make sure you ave ATLEAST 20gb left on your comp after this torrent is downloaded, otherwise the game will run HORRIBLEY)

Ok, here's what I did , and i had no problems so far (I'm at chapter 7):
1) Downloaded everything just fine
2) Opened the FarLight Dead SPace 2 folder and extracted the rars to any folder.
3) after extracting, I moved the files in the crack folder (FRL crack folder) and replaced the original files (at the Dead Space 2 folder) with the crack files.
4) Play the effing game.

So what's the deal with signing in with an EA account? Got it installed and cracked just fine, it asks for an EA account, I put in my existing one and it says its invalid for this game or something. Elcane, theres more than one way to uninstall something. Try control panel, uninstall a program. Or just go to program files on your hard drive and delete the whole EA folder where you installed the game. If all else fails do a search for Dead Space 2 and delete everything that comes up. I wish someone would help me with my problem...

My problem didn't have to do with logging in (you don't have to). It just hung on the first loading screen for no reason so I uninstalled it (elcane you don't need the serial, it will uninstall even if you leave it blank). The next most seeded torrent uploaded by FuCtUpPuNk works perfectly for me :)

1: The save near the bench before the fire room in chapter 6 bugs the game so use it.
2: Game crashes when you open the door at the end of the hallway in chapter 7.

So, for those who have got problem with the install or the serial key, there's how you should install the game (I had the same problem):
-mount or burn the .iso
-install the game normally whit EAsetup.exe or EAinstaller-something-like-it... that is located into the CD1
-THEN:get to your programs files and find the EAgames folder. There should be dead space 2 inside...
-INSTALL THE RELOADED CRACK:

-And then run the game...it should work...normally...

Hey I'm a bit of a noob with these torrents, sry, but what do I do for the CD Key crack? It says copy it from the folder but I see one document that is the intructions and a application program (game launcher) that is about 10mb bigger than the normal one and doesn't work.
What am I supposed to do? I've tried copying the application program (the roughly 60mb sized one) to the game folder (thus replacing the one that was there) but it just give me the usual "windows has encountered a problem with this program and needs to close error". When I used the other launcher it puts me through the activation process in which I need the key in which I don't have.

For those who's not finding "Fairlight folder", it's where you downloaded the torrent. Open your torrent program (utorrent, bittorrent, whatever), right click on "Dead Space 2" then select "Open the destination folder" or something like this. I was having this problem.

Because I'm planning to play it with a USB gamepad and Dead Space 2 is well known to have its camera spinning if there is a USB peripheral connected (believe me, I've tried it, if not, please google "Dead Space 2 camera").
