April 15: Added kitchen & bath interior design stuff Installing all these expansion and stuff packs takes more than 12gb of hard drive space, just fyi. * * * * *IMPORTANT* * * * * FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO GET A PROBLEM-FREE INSTALLATION! (I can't assure it will be problem free, but I try) If something goes wrong, uninstall (one at a time, damn you EA >.<) and start over.) (SEED) 1. Extract all the archive files. Google for 7-zip and download and install it if you don't have anything to do this with. (7-zip seems to be less troublesome than winrar) 2. Run Autorun.exe in the folder with (01) in it and install. Keys are listed below. Proceed on to (02) and so forth. (Read next step for (02) though) 3. To install University (02) you will need to mount cd 2 as virtual cd using a program like daemon tools* (see end of file for help with daemon tools). Google for daemon tools if you need this (it's free). If you're lazy or this is just too complicated for you, you can skip it. You will still be able to play the game; you just won't have university, which is a pretty cool expansion. (KEEP SEEDING) 4. After installing all 15, run the patch called sims2ep6_patch.exe and sims2ep7_patch.exe 5. After installing all expansions and the patch copy Sims2EP7.exe from the crack folder in the freetime folder and paste it into your TSBin directory of the freetime install (delete Sims2EP7.exe that?s in there first). Note: If you ever install a patch you may have to redo (and find a new version of) the crack. I suggest gamecopyworld.com for cracks. 6. Run the shortcut for Freetime and enjoy. (You don't need cracks for the stuff packs, only the newest expansion pack. When you run the stuff pack shortcuts it just tells you to run the one for the latest expansion pack >.< A+ to EA for that.) FYI: When you first run the game, give it a good 5 minutes to load (not including the video) before you decide it?s broken. After that first time it should load much faster. Try moving the folder to your desktop and running it from there. Sometimes it can be screwy...but not having the cd images saves a ton of space.

Have installed 01,02,03 ... then on 04 Open For Business, it is asking for Disk 1 ... have tried from the desktop also, not working.
I find it kind of ironic that you say isos are too much hassle (they compress just as well as the files ON the ISO by the way) ... more hassle than downloading 8GB of torrent just to discover the setup instructions are downright WRONG ???
Advice to everyone ... don't download this unless you want to waste a few days of internet connection.

Other people have downloaded and installed it just fine. I'm sorry you're having trouble.
And, you take ISOs of this game, run them through .rar compression, then take the files off the ISOs, run them through 7zip compression (rar works better on ISOs, 7zip better on those files) and tell me which comes smaller. I've done it, and the 7zipped files come out smaller. I've spent hours making this torrent, and try to make it as easy to use as possible, so don't criticize my work when plenty of other people have had no problems installing it.
Make sure open for business is only in one directory, so put all the files in C:\The Sims 2 - (04) Open For Business and seee if that works.

I get the same problem as daveime... Or, that's just one of my problems. First, I tried to install uni. Did like you said with demon tools. Nothing happened. The icon showed up in "my computer" but nothing happened when I tried to double-click on it.
So I then said "screw university" and tried OFB, and I also get the "please insert disk 1" message when I try to install OFB.
I have managed to install Pets, Seasons, Bon Voyage and Free Time fine. Of the stuff packs I only kept H&M and Teen Style Stuff.
I will probably go hunt for other torrents for UNI and OFB, but thought I'd let you know anyway.
Thanks for this torrent, took me two days to load, but it's worth it to get 90% of the games in one package (90% since I couldn't get two of the EPs to work). Thanks for taking the time to do this and make it available for all of us. Every serial and such worked. So thanks :)

Alyze try to "Unmount all drives" in Daemon tool options and then try mounting University again. It sounds simple and stupid I know, but 99% of the time that's all I have to do to get an image to mount for me in Daemon. Or maybe you've already tried that? Good luck.

Downloading got through, but the 7-zip is insanely slow. I would rather put in another 2 hours of download time, than to have a highly compressed file that takes 4 hours to unzip locally. took 3 days to d/l, i unzipped all folders using 7-zip onto my desktop and tried installing the sims 2 + nightlife, and i got the "Please insert disk number 1" pop up, what can i do?

everything works great, only a retard wouldnt be able to get this stuff to work.
1st of all, LISTEN:
1. When uv unrared everything, move all the folders to ur DESKTOP if u havent unrared them there already.
2. Go into each folder (one at a time, for u idiots), and run the autorun.exe, type in the serial from the word document and install.
3. When you get to university, do the 1st two steps, and when it asks you for disk 2 during installation, MOUNT the .iso in the folder using alcohol, daemon, or what i use - MagicDisk (part of MagicISO).
4. Apply both patches given, and then paste over the Sims 2 Freetime .exe with the crack file (do i need to tell you how to do that aswell?)
NOTE:
The kitchen and bath design one will only unrar to the desktop, make sure u DONT unrar it into the default location, as it wont work, you'll get errors.
NOTE:
You may notice, that half the expansion packs do not come supplied with cracks, the point of this torrent is to install ALL expansions BEFORE playing anything - this is because (now LISTEN CAREFULLY) each expansion pack ADDS its stuff to the game, and when u run the latest expansion pack (i.e. Sims 2 Freetime) ALL of the previous expansion pack stuff is LOADED at the same time with the lastest one - get it??
example -
1. all expansions installed
2. run Sims 2 Freetime --> loads university, H&M, open for business etc etc all at the same time
3. Play the game with everything added in, WITHOUT cracking each expansion.
I SAY AGAIN - YOU DO NOT NEED TO CRACK EVERY EXPANSION - JUST THE LATEST ONE.
If you dont want to install all the expansions, the the one u need to crack will be the latest one u installed, i.e. the furthest one in the sequence of folders.

Do what? lol, well I couldn't even open the RUNGAME.exe (not autorun :P) and it didn't react in any way ^^ I tried mounting but didn't work.. Everything else worked flawlessly (though I don't have the Kitchen/Bath stuff pack coz I downloaded the older torrent) and btw.. It always updated the game itself after every installation =) and I never had to do that crack thing with freetime which I didn't understood anyways xD Great download though ^^

got mine working by moving it to another drive, all installed fine and the starting cideo plays however thats as far as i get before i get an "application crashed" popup, any ideas to solve this?
i copied and pasted the crack over the specified file correctly, and i've tried reinstalling sims2freetime aswell as uninstalling it completely and just trying bon voyage with the crack, no luck though!

Definately have all the right spec on this pc to run the game as i used to own pretty much this entire collection, i'm still convinced it's something to do with the crack (pasting over sims2ep7.exe) If not maybe i need to uninstall and reinstall again ..
I didn't move my university to another drive i was meaning the sims2original, instead of running it from my desktop which didn't work i did so from my d drive (this is assuming you have more than one drive on your pc)

University is a little tricky, but someone provided instructions for an unproblematic installation. THIS IS JUST COPY AND PASTE from another torrent - I didn't come up with this idea, but I tested it and it works 100%
* * * * *IMPORTANT!! * * * *
FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO GET A PROBLEM-FREE INSTALLATION!
1. Install The Sims 2 Original by burning or mounting the CD:s.
2. Get the CD patch for Sims 2 from Don't install it yet!
3. Enter Safe Mode by rebooting your computer and press F5 or F8 before Windows starts.
4. Choose Safe Mode from the boot menu, and after Windows have started run the patch you just downloaded.
5. Still in safe mode, mount/insert disc 1 of University and install. Change to 2nd CD when prompted.
6. Hopefully, the installation will say something like "product already updated" in the end of the installation.
7. Keep on installing the other expansion packs. Safe Mode or not should make no difference from now.
8. After installing all expansions, copy Sims2EP5.exe from the crack/seasons folder and paste it into your TSBin directory of the Seasons install. In Sweden, this should be something like C:/Program/EA GAMES/The Sims 2 +ret Runt\TSBin
9. Repeat step 8 for Celebration Stuff, change installation directory to match Celebration Stuff.
10. Enjoy the game!

problem is that the only cd image that this torrent includes for the university expansion is "sims2EP1_CD2" there is no disk 1. And apparently that's supposed to be that way, because on the instructions included with he torrent, it says "mount cd 2", doesn't even mention a first disk. But the game asks for disk number 1, not 2...=S

I didn't understand that must I use the autorun.exe in daemon tools (that's the "dvd/cd-player") or the one that's in the university file.. but when I tried it didn't react at all =( dunno would be nice if someone gave simple way to install university.. those safe mode things are far too much for my brains ^^

Juanito, you should get the Open for business with the moving files thingy :D At least I got it ^^ I unrared everything to C: and there I unrared the sims expansions and sims itself to the desktop.. I was installing them and when in open for business it was asking the cd.. so I just moved the file into the desktop (I had a file in the desktop where I installed them from so I took the open for business out of there) and it started installing! this happened with some stuff pack too and I did the same and it worked.. :D But University I never got ^^ I wish I knew how I would get it coz I'm sure I'll need that info in the future :P

It shows the "choose language" in the installation, and i choose danish which is my primary spoken language and then it just says "please, insert disc one" and i can only choose to stop the installation. Finished my download and installations finally.
I'd like to note I HAD the issues with University and Open for Business that lots of people are running into. However - I had patience and figured things out.
My first advice is to, like most are saying, MOVE or UNZIP the folders (TheSims2...01, etc.) to your DESKTOP.
University: If you get the message saying "please insert disk 1"... You probably haven't QUITE moved it to the desktop yet. Open the University folder, and it is probably all in yet ANOTHER University folder - drag THAT one to the desktop as well, replacing the one that is already there. Getting rid of this extra subfolder makes a DIFFERENCE.
Now if you swear you mounted the ISO image and it still says "please insert disk 2". Try opening "My Computer", right-clicking the drive where it is mounted and click "eject". Then open your program again (ie Daemon Tools, and mount it again, making sure that you also select "load tray" where it is available.
Open For Business: I also had the same problem where it asked to insert disk 1 for OFB. Once again - I opened the OFB folder on my desktop and dragged the next OFB subfolder that was inside that one to my desktop, replacing the first - Then it installed correctly.
I do hope this might help a few people out, if it still isn't clear I'll keep my eye on this - I want to help.

To anyone having trouble: I was able to download and install this pretty easy. Just be sure to extract all of the compressed archives to your desktop and install from there. For me that allowed the install of the University expansion, though Open for Business and a few of the stuff packs prompted me to insert disk one even though they didn't contain the disk 1 iso as university did. You don't have to install every expansion/stuff pack for it to work though. I just installed what I was able to then I went to www.gamecopyworld.com and searched for the "No-CD/No-DVD Fixed EXE" for the proper expansion, downloaded it, and replaced the original .exe file in the TSBIN folder of the directory where the game/expansion was installed. Then you can launch the game from that file you just placed in the directory.
Note: You only need to crack the latest expansion and not all of the expansions to play. If you aren't sure which expansion you need to crack to play then you should try to launch one of the expansions... it will pop up a window telling you to launch the game from the most recent expansion, that's the one you need to crack. If you follow through the nice directions enclosed and extract to your desktop you shouldn't have any trouble.
2nd Note: Don't even try to download this if you don't have a half way decent graphics card. All of the walls flash a crazy red and it's so annoying that it would drive you to suicide lol. Runs exceptionally well on my Nvidia GeForce 6800XT though on my 6200 is choppy.

Yes; those folders that you copied to the desktop are just the contents of the disc - deleting them will just be the same as removing a disk from your drive.
Although I did copy the crack to the Free Time TSbin in "C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\The Sims 2 FreeTime". Make sure this is done and you're free to delete those folders, all that stuff has been copied to your Program Files.

Nintai, i downloaded the torrent and installed it (except for open for Business which i downloaded a separte .ISO-format torrent from this, our very own, page as well). anyway i got that error you mentioned about flashing backgrounds and also pixeled graphics for items and sims. So i was guessing my graphic card is not fit for the game.. i was wondering which card should i purchase to porperly launch the game.. and if that was really going to cost me lol.. to judge if it's worth it. i'd appreciate if you would tell me! thanks

tothemoonandback: you need to use WinRar or 7-zip to extract the files and it should go a lot faster. You can find WinRar here on tpb and 7-zip by running a goole search because it's freeware. I used winrar and it took about 1 hour total give or take 10 minutes. Also, I am not sure if this makes a difference but I extracted each file one at a time and sat by my comp rather than doing them all in one batch. Good luck!

Lucjar: Do you have pci or agp slots on your mother board? Luckily I have AGP "accelerated graphics ports" so I have the one listed below.

If you have only PCI slots than you wouldn't be able to install that card on your board. You may also need to refer to your mother board manual and find out what sort of card to install. For example, my Asus board only accepts 4x and 8x cards. So my card is an AGP Biostar Nvidia GeForce 8x. The other important thing to take into consideration before buying your graphics card is your power supplies wattage limitations. The card linked above required a 300 watt power supply though a 350 is best. If you had say a 200 watt power supply then your computer wouldn't be able to boot up when you install your graphics card. You can find out how many watts your power supply has by opening up your computer and reading the label on it. The power supply you buy will also need to fit in your comp case. Be sure you get the right one if you end up needing it... theres nothing worse that a fan housing that doesn't sit flush on the case of a power supply. Better get out the welding gear lol.
GeForce 6 series or above is all you need to run The Sims 2 but you should try out the 6800. It's enough to run almost any game I have come across WELL.
You may also want to read this document to learn a bit more about this subject. Maybe also read up on some of the other stuff I mentioned above like AGP and PCI or power supplies.
I also recommend buying your card from NewEgg. The have great return policies and the shipping is super fast. I get my stuff in 3 days usually.

This is an amazing torrent, and works perfectly.
Not at first, but I can help all of you who have had trouble with Open For Business and Family Fun Stuff (or other installations asking you to insert disc 1). I was actually halfway done downloading a different Open For Business file but decided to try one last thing.
I know someone else mentioned that maybe you have a folder within a folder (i.e. The Sims 2 - (04) Open For Business folder in some other Open For Business folder) and that it needed to be moved to the desktop.
However, if this is not the case, what you need to do is exactly the opposite of what the creator said. Bassgoonist said to make sure all files are in that one folder and put that folder in the desktop, but what you really need to do is cut ALL files out of that folder and paste ALL of them right to your desktop. This will solve everything, I promise :) If I have been unclear, let me know.

monee, i had the same problem. If u uninstall them all and leave out the two packs that do not need serials it should work. It may freeze now and again but trust me its well worth the effort to sort it out.
This is a fantastic torrent, bassgoonist deserves a gd pat on the bk, althou i will advise that people dont install the two packs that dont require serials. (Btw vista users - It works as long as u dont instal the two stuff packs that dont need serials)

To those that are having problems make sure you extract all The Sims to to C:\ (Local Disk). This solves the Open for Business problem. As I was having the same problem with it extracted onto the Desktop. And I assume this may fix the problem with some of the packs not working as well, not sure.
