ok this was working for me yesterday, then i moved some files and it's not goin to start up again.. if someone has the time, could ya explain to me which file it is i have to mount to play the game with no cd, i just can't seem to get the right one.. downloading again anyway, have removed it entirely from hard disk to try again. probably not really necessary but oh well..

Do not extract the .iso file. Download Daemon tools (google it online) and mount the .iso with it. If you have tried to mount the .iso file without success, have you tried checking the integrity of the file? Also what exactly is wrong? Are you able to mount the image? Please explain in detail what is wrong.

So I'm a bit new at this. I have downloaded the zip file and extracted and installed and game but when I try to play it obviously says that I need the War2 cd in my drive. I am confused as how to how to crack this. Any help?

Hello 617! As explained earlier, you'll need to mount the image using daemon tools a free program. Doing so will in laymans terms, virtually "insert" the disk into a drive. Therefore bypassing the problem you are encountering. If you aren't skilled with computers, you can lookup how to mount .iso images. Im sure you'll find some guide that'll explain fully how an .iso works and how to use them. I hope this solves the problem you are having.

Thank you paroxyzm, The CRC error can usually be the result of different versions of WinRAR being used to unrar newer/older versions. The CRC error in this case appears to be safe to ignore, as it does not affect the files. If the CRC error prevents you from extracting the files, then try the repair option in WinRAR. If you are still unable to access the files, then please let me know and I will gladly repack the files and upload them using a different version of WinRAR. Hi, thanks for the download. I cannot seem to get this to work for some reason. I am running Windows XP. First it was saying I needed to switch to 640 x 480 and be in 256 colors, so I went into the games properties and set compatibility mode to Windows 98 and checked both run in 256 colors and run in 640 x 480. Now I'm getting a new message. It says: "Warcraft II Battle.net Edition is unable to read a required file. Your Warcraft II Battle.net Edition CD may not be in the CDROM drive. Please ensure that the disc is in the CDROM drive and press OK." The ISO is properly mounted in Daemon tools, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to install it. What's the deal here?

you can play online at www.tunngle.net. Just download tunngle from the website and go to the warcraft 2 network in the strategy section. Then hit the don't panic button for instructions.
