JEPPESEN Jeppview3 to Flitestar NavData CD2 conversion

Hi folks This is a shortcut I found experimenting with the JeppView NavData CD2. It can be converted to FilteStar / FliteMap NavDta disk so no separate Fstar Navdata CD needed !!! A good, virgin, serial needed though, like VNX1-IBYH-E5K1-7G8F (thanks Chileanpilot !! ) for a clean JeppView installation before the operation ! So upon inserting original CD2 (with normal setup.inx, NOT CRACKED ) setup will not come up with errors, freezes and the like. For FliteStar you only need CD1 v8.5 preferably and serial MCW1-11PV-KMFA-8SA8. I have included here a readme file and 6 JPGs from the process. Enjoy !!! FSallATP UPDATE 08 Jan 2010 --------- !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! most of your questions are already answered in this or similar posts (try search with jepp*) in this site. the new info is cause Jeppesen has upgraded security, for new installation, change first your computer clock to 31-12-2008 and use cycle 01 of 2009 so the R00D-KCAB can be validated without problems (validation code through phone) then run the program so it will alter the registry settings. Then close the program, change time and reboot. Now you can use any of the recent codes, 25 or 26 of 2009, 01 of 2010 etc. without problems ! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

making torrents for Jeppesen products to start the name of the torrent with "JEPPESEN" followed by whatever description so it will make search easier, i think.

I am not using FS/FM.
I wish now ...i am reading some torrents coments because i have some doubts about how to get the 9.4 program.
Could you give me a sequence of torrents to donwload and reach this and get mi own FS/FM Corporate ..help me when you have time ..please!!

you need to download the program disk Flitestar v8.5. Select all the options and install. next it will ask for the navdata disk (CD2) same as with Jeppview. i downloaded mine from e-mule.

What is the difference between FliteStar and FliteMap???
I made the installation but you v8.5 don't work for me ...i install a v8.3.
then i install this torrent and work and update to v9.4.1.0
During the installation show me always Flitestar
...but when i open is showed like
FliteMap Corporate International version 9.4.1.0
FliteStar and FliteMap it's the same?

sorry it doesnt work for you 8.5. can you write briefly what was the prob ?as for the difference
the only marked difference is, this Flitemap, is the
flagship in that category of software supporting
GPS moving map. everything else is the same.
try to activate GPS in simulation mode and you will see how it "flies" your flight plan ! increase the speed to 500Kts ! its fun !!

In the v8.5 torrent, you have a comment with the fail ..was a DLL.

Story:
- Installed FliteMap v.8.4 Build 4221
- Used Site Key: R00D-KCAB
- Today downloaded JeppView Cycle 16-08 CD2
- Changed label to 0808FSFM_2 as suggested below
- Burn CD
- Run Setup.exe from new CD
- It says - file, will update van data
Then error:

this points to using cds with different cycles. happened to me too. ie cd1 0814 and cd2 0815. ensure both cds SAME cycle date. brgds

as for flitestar/flitemap usually needs a patch to upgade to v9.xx before you can you use the conversion JV->FD trick .

Sorry - but there is no update file in your rar that allows to upgrade from 8.51 to 9.0.27
FliteStar_v9300_Patch.exe from your RAR wants 9.0.27 and does not want to update 8.51

Just figured it out - installed CD2 from _Jeppesen JVFD0811 & FSFM0806 & utils_
The used patch to upgrade.
And now my FM is v.9.3.1.0 (Build 11516).
Then tried to install JV->FM re-named CD2 (0816JFVD_2 -> 0808FSFM_2) - got the same error:

I'm using FliteStar with update 0907. I activated it with the key R00D-KCAB, but when I tried the same on an other computer, it didn't work with this key. Any ideas? Please Help!!!!!!!!
