All seemed to install just fine over the network yesterday except one file ... reported as avvji5up.sys which failed to copy over. I've tried putting that file name into Google to find out what it is and if I can find it and looked in this package yet can't find any mention of it. Has anyone else experienced this or know what that file is please? Thanks. I shall try again tomorrow. It's the only error I got but it won't run without this file it seems.

Well, I tried to install this in a virtual machine first using Oracle VirtualBox.
The installer keep restarting after the component install progress bar reach the end, before the installer starts building the desktop.
Why? I think this should work on a virtual machine.

Not exactly slipstreamed, you have to install the add-ons manually. The files are all good, no conflicts, nice to have it all on one dvd.

Great download! It works fine. The only problem is that it is NOT "All Updates" (at least not entirely). It was actually missing an update. You need KB835732 if you are going to run VMware Tools for Direct3D acceleration (providing you are installing this to VMware Workstation).
Fortunately, this is easy. Just start the Internet Explorer 6 that came with this bundle, go to http://www.microsoft.com/ , then search KB835732. Download and install. Or, if you want the direct link, here it is:

Once this is installed, you can now install VMware Tools.

Ah, my mistake. This does indeed include all the updates. Disregard my previous comment. All right, here is my little "tutorial".
1. Download the ISO file from here (The Pirate Bay). NOTE: Once downloaded, make sure you close out your torrent software (if you are mounting this to a virtual machine). VMware will complain that another program is accessing the file and will not allow you to install Windows.
2. Install Windows 2000 Professional.
3. (VMware Only) Open the Internet Explorer 6 that came with Windows 2000, go to www.microsoft.com, search KB835732, then download and install that.
4. (VMware Only) Install VMware Tools.
5. Install DirectX 9c.
Now, there are two ways you can do this. You can either use the DirectX Feb10 redistributable that came with the .iso (if you have it mounted in a virtual machine, you click "My Computer", then W2KENCMA6.7.15 [should be located in disc drive D:], then select option 1 when a Command Prompt appears); or just open Internet Explorer 6, go to microsoft.com, search DirectX 9, and download and install the latest runtime that way (I actually recommend the regular DirectX 9 download. The Feb10 file that comes with the ISO is the Developer Redistributable and contains unnecessary files and installation packages.).
6. Install Updates to Windows 2000. To do this, click “My Computer”, then W2KENCMAS6.7.15 (which is probably located in disc drive D: ). Then select option “8. Update” when the Command Prompt appears. When the updated process is completed, Windows 2000 will then be fully updated.
7. Restart your computer. Even if you are using a virtual machine, simply click Start, then Shut Down. A window will appear with a drop down menu. Select the option to Restart. Then click OK. Just don’t forget to change it back to Shut Down when you actually want to shut down your computer.
Again, you can pretty much ignore my previous comment, as I don’t know how to actually remove comments. Hope I helped.
