non-copy protected oblivion 4 setup.exe file

This is the Non-Copy protected setup.exe file from the original Oblivion 4 DVD. You can use it to replace the setup file in the Oblivion G.O.T.Y. DVD to install from an ISO mounted in the Daemon Tools utility. Simply copy all the files from the G.O.T.Y. DVD 1 to a folder on your hard drive. Rename the old setup.exe file to setup.exe.orig (or whatever you like), then copy the new (much smaller) setup.exe file to that folder. Create an ISO with Nero (or whatever utility you like) and mount it as a drive in Daemon tools. Then run setup as you normally would (it should auto play if you have that setup on your drive). I have tested this and it is how I got it installed on my system. Works great.

so what exactly do you DO with the file? Because it doesn't seem to run on it's own

You need to edit your iso files on Disk-1 and Disk-2 and swap this file in for the existing one's on Disk-1 and Disk-2. I Used active@ISO File Manager to do it, free trial version.
