This game rocks! It's probably the best flight simulator/flying game I've ever played. The graphics kick ass and the missions just keep on coming. Download this game, you won't be disappointed!
Does the multiplayer option work? I haven't tried yet. Hopefully there will be some sort of patch so we can play on cracked or private servers.

This Torrent IS FAST and Reliable, It is a FULL RIP, meaning that nothing is excluded from the original game, the reason that it is so small is that the game data is compressed with a variety of efficient and fast compression algorithms that are unpacked COMPLETELY when you run Setup.bat provided in the torrent. When I launch the game, it works fine, but a couple seconds into the first campaign mission, the game stops working and a HAWX.exe.dmp file is created in the root directory of the game. I did this to change the install path. Copy the file, and place it on your desktop. Right click and choose edit. Find the three lines below ( set DR=%CD%\Install Files ) (quotes are mine). Change these lines from this, ( set ID=%USERPROFILE%\Games\Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X
set TD=%HOMEDRIVE%\TCH-TMP
set RP=%HOMEPATH% ), to this ( set ID=D:\Program Files\Games\Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X
set TD=D:\TCH-TMP
set RP=D:\ ). D is the drive I chose to install to, you can substitute any drive letter you want.

I might be way off, but I think the dump problem might be related to 64bit vice 32 bit windows vista versions. I was having the same problem on my 64bit laptop, and I installed it on my other PC running 32bit and it ran fine. Fucking 64bit...

This is one of the best and clearly written batch scripts I've seen for an automated install. koodos to Synapse. The only thing I would pick on is it would have been nice if he wrote the script to let the user choose the install dir, and also rather than have a bunch of 7zip archives in .exe form, have had all of those packages in UHA-arc form as it's less messy than using a bunch of self-extraction files.
My thanks again for a cleanly written batch script. Most games that use them always mess them up somehow and I have to make corrections -.-

Installed DirectX 9.0c March 2009 update like it suggested. Already had .NET 3.5 so I didn't install 3.0 like it wanted to. Strange install location though. It chose "C:\Users\%Your_Name%\Games\Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X" rather than "C:\Program Files (x86)\Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X" like everything else (I'm using Vista Home Premium 64bit). Oh well, no big deal. It took about 20min to install. At some time it was mentioned to try the "DirectX 10" launcher if you experienced any problems, (Obviously ONLY if you have a DirectX 10 capable video card). Since I do, two of them, I started it the very first time using a shortcut to "HAWX_dx10.exe". It fired right up the very first time without a single problem. Ran for 2.5 hours straight without a single glitch! Impressive! First I went into the video options and it autodetected and set everything to "On" and "High". I ran its handy 1min test and scored 24FPS as a low. Looked visually more like 6FPS (And its hard to count six times per second :) and for a flying game that is not acceptable. I left everything "On" because I still wanted all of the effects, but lowered the settings to "Low" and ran the test again. Smooth as butter on a hot pan! 124FPS continuous, didn't even mention a low. Applied those settings and haven't looked back. I also used the lowest resolution my 22"ws supports which is 1280x800 with 32bit color so I'm sure that has to do with the great frame rates. Still looks freakin awesome!!! And it's very fun. Your "buddies" AI is actually helpful without being overly helpful so it doesn't take any of the fun away. The in-game bomb targeting display is the absolute coolest and easiest to use, that I have ever seen! (I fly in third person view). It also autodetected and configured my "Logitech Dual Action" joystick without any problems. I changed it to "custom" and set a couple of things but left most of it alone because it was already set up sensibly.

Got a dumb question.
How do you uninstall this once you are done with it?
All I see is a TCH-TMP folder that's about 1.5 GB and that seems to be the languages folder.
Nothing shows up in the uninstall portion under "My Computer." No Tom Clancy's HAWX, no Ubisoft folder, nothing.
Do you have to uninstall this through the command prompt and if so, how?

(I am using Windows Vista Ultimate)I followed the installer perfectly and when I go to run the game I also get the missing the d3dx9_39.dll is not found. I tried downloading the file from a site and placing it into the folder but that didnt work so I scratched the install and reinstalled it making sure to take a look at every thing the installer did but I still got the same error. My computer has DX10 and I did try the dx 10 exe in the installer folder so atm I am stumped on what to do. Does anyone know where I can get the most recent direct x 10 without wga in my way?

For some reason, this game is not working with my Vista 64bit system... When I launch, it just quits after the ESRB rating screen... For those of you getting error msgs, downloading Direct X 9 fixes those issues.
However, on my XP 32 bit system, this game runs like a charm which is why I kept my XP system!
Anyway, just want to say the game runs great!! And it is fun!! Thanks again for sharing!!!

There is no fix for this even if you bought the game!! Be glad you didn't buy it! Ubisoft cockfuckers are not responding to paying customers regarding this issue thus leaving many paying people pissed off!

Ok for all you guys with the dump problem. I had it to but found the sollution for me.
What i did, was that i changed the default RNG map wich the game was installed in. For me it was
C://Documents and settings/Familjen/game.
I created a map on my hard drive and named it Ubisoft and changed the path to wich the game was installed on to C://programs/Ubisoft
Then i made sure that i had no other programs runnin' while installing the game, wich basicly means that i didnt touch my comp during the installation.
This worked for me, im not any computer pro or anything like that. I just got so happy for fixing my .dump issue, that i just had to share my homemade sollution to see if it could help anybody.

I just finished downloading all the files. I pressed the setup.bat file, and when trying to install/compress, it said that it could not find all of the install files which are main.cf2, data.cf1, datafiles.cf2, sounds.cf2.

How do u change the resolution in HAWX?
It seems that when I am entering the game, my monitor doesnt handle the resolution (I have a 1440*900 widescreen monitor). It all becomes black, and after a while while hearing the intro sounds, the game just jumps to desktop again.
Thus, I am now wondering how to change this resolution so that i can at least see what is going on, and then change the screen resolution in-game. Any advices?

Btw: REALLY Close your other programs.
My installation appeared complete, but only really extracted 1 or 2 packs. This gave me THIS ERROR I SAW PEOPLE GETTING:
[Crash after INTRO / Black and White Intro with sound, then CRASH]
Just close all your programs and leave the installer alone.
Also, if you use any "Idle Time Computing" program like BOINC [World Community Grid], close it until the install finishes..
That thing disrupted my install.
Anyway, gonna play now. :]

this works great for me, and i am playing on a toshiba satellite laptop, and it works even better on my alienware M17x laptop. very laggy under xp, but smooth under vista and win7.
my toshiba satellite is 1.73ghz and my alienware M17x is 2.9ghz.
a little advice for others who want to play this on there laptop's you can use "3d analyze" (emulate hardware TnL) you can search for this online or you can get it from my gamers toolbox that i have uploaded here at the bay.
i have this burned to dvd, and for those asking on how to install, first you need to extract the rar file to a folder to EX. downloads, then you need to run the setup.bat. it takes a while to install. so be patient. then just run the game like you would any other.
if anyone wants to know if you can play online, well the answer is the same with any other game you would download..NO! so dont try or ask. the only way this changes is if you know haimachi.

Well it does work, and perfectly fine, but due to the buggy nature of the game (and all ubisoft titles) and massive deadzone issue corrected in 1.02 patch, the fact that using this install method makes the game completely unpatchable makes this torrent less than useless in my opinion.
The small size and fast transfer rate are great, but unless there is a way to patch it, or you release a 1.02 repack, i wouldnt bother with this torrent.

For those with problems installing, here is what I did. I edited the .bat file and ran as admin in windows SP3 compatibility mode. Here is what I changed.
set DR=D:\utorrent\complete\Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X\Install Files
set ID=C:\Program Files (x86)\HAWX
set TD=C:\TCH-TMP
set RP=C:\
The first line is the download directory. Wherever your download was saved, put the address after the = sign. Mine was in the D:/ drive.
The second is where you want it installed.
The other two just change it to whatever drive you will use, C:\ D:\ ect.
I forget what the default was, so this is just a copy paste of what my edited file looks like. Change it to whatever applies to you.

hi. i need help with this torrent.

after i run setup it installed normally
then when i launch the game.. there was no color(everything in black&white) and after the first intro video(where there were the airplane escaping missile and nail the tank)

I was looking for a brainless shooter but HAWX really dissapoints me. Everytime I fail to do something in the game it's because my expectation of reality are too high. There is no gravity in the game, non at all. The deadzone (especially when using a joystick) is frickin' huge! A baby could pop out from that deadzone, it just completely takes away to move accurately which you do need in some missions. The way the aircraft behaves.. everything is just really frustrating.
It's fun if you want to shoot 200 aircrafts out of the air on your own per mission, which I do enjoy now and then. But there are so many things that bother me, especially the deadzone for which there is no fix or patch and everyone seems to hate it.
You're really dissapointing me ubisoft...again..

Dont waste your time with this one.
It works but it is Nuked.
controls sensitivity is insane.
Only way to fix is by updating to 1.02 and trust me. It is not possible with this rip. I have tryed.
Get full 6GB+ iso somewhere else with proper installer and update to 1.02 and then you can set deadzone and sensitivity and enjoy the game properly.

And for anyone looking to uninstall, just delete the program files, then find "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Ubisoft" in the registry, and delete the "Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X" key and subkeys. as far as I can read the .bat file, that's where it creates all the registry entries.

Don't take this comment to be meant as being spiteful, hateful or condescending in it's tone. It is really meant to be a helpful one, honestly.
First off, I only chanced this 'Ripped' version DL because it had Skullptura in the tags. He has put out several fine 'Rips' and I trust his packs...
I know this torrent is a bit old, but, if you are going to do a pc rip and package it yourself, you really need to include ALL the registry keys, the installshield information folder and any and all cfg/ini files that you may have on your pc with the pack. The GUID/UUID's do not have to be YOUR actual install product guid...just tell them that they will have to generate another 32 digit guid for their pc when installing the installshield folders and registry entries.
Reason being is that there are ini files that are vital to starting this game which are not in the rip.
I am sure that they are created when the initial installation is done. Without them...I just get a dump file instead of an initial start.
Updating the game to try and remedy this problem is out of the question because there are no installation or location information details written to the registry.
To put in layman's terms...I have a 6.5Gb folder of wasted space.
I have had to manually repair corrupted and missing data and registry errors a million times, but, it takes hours. It would only take you 15-20 minutes to slow dawn and gather all the pertinent info necessary.

is the general Ubisoft location for the uninstall runtimes...

%dr%:Program FilesInstallShield Installation
is where the installation layout/header/idx/file list/setup info, etc. information is stored....
Finally...any and ALL Ubisoft *.REG files you can export from your registry would have been awesome......
If these were included....This would have been a superior quality release.

changing the install path can be done easily.
right click on the bat file, choose edit.
count down to the 9th line, should say "ID=%Somethingaboutuserdirectory%Hawx etc..
change it to for example, what damanmody wanted,
ID=E:GamesTom Clancy's HAWX
change nothing else, close and save. then run it. the install path should now be what you set it to.

Ok, so I downloaded and installed the game. It works but I'm having a problem: when the game runs, the screen is black, and I have to switch windows and do some stuff until it shows the game screen and let me play. I'll if I can fix that.
