As with others with the 2008-02-12 06:53:27 "TMPGEnc XPress 4.4.2.238 - Retail" release, I get the same result as below.
Also after deleting "TMPGEnc4XP_SystemConfig.en.dat" file

"Everything goes great until you try to 'Start A New Project' ... Then, window comes up with 'Cannot Find The Class' (error code 0x8004800B) and app hangs right there"
Maybe its my setup? Anyone any ideas?
Anyway thanks for trying to keep us up to date with this really good app.

I think from you post you have downloaded this version yet?
I read somewhere that a version hit the net that had the an old version of the keygen.
I would download this version or at least the keygen from this one if i was you

I did not make it clear.
I was not the only one who had this problem with the old version.
And I had the same problem with this version.
I have since tried several older TMPGEnc distro's from HAZE and have the same problem with them?
Must be my machine?

Hi skrowl, Certainly not Vista 64!!! far too much bloat. Ha Ha!!!
I use a Super Slim W2K SP3 + the rest, anyway the problems the same, just seen they have a new distro, off to try it.

1) Install only for the current user
2) run the app at least once before generating license
3) apply patch with the keygen
4) generate a key with the keygen
Note, that I have used updated keygen with the default value of version as "4.4.2.238" (not 4.4.1.237).
Actually, I did as was written at "HAZE.nfo" :).

You are right - it doesn't work correctly from the first time. I also installed it several times before it get worked. And what I have wrote on Feb 24 is the order after which I have successfully installed it.

Works like a charm on vista 64bit!!!
Just remember to run the keymaker as "administrator" and follow JustABond's instructions....
....and don't say it doesn't work just because you can't get it to work....

After reinstalling of Windows XP SP2 I have got the same problem: Cannot find the class ((. After doing manipulations that I have described previously I have no luck. Seems that the problem is in my current OS environment...
But at the same time TMPGEnc 4.4.1.237 works fine! Will use that version...
