Dark Fall -- The Journal
it is always waiting....
The old, abandoned train station at Dowerton hides a history of disappearances, mystery and hauntings. The nearby Station Hotel was once a busy, bustling place for weary travellers to rest and relax...but something went wrong...on the night of April 29th, 1947, the guests and staff vanished without trace, never to be seen again.
Welcome to the dark, lonely world of Dowerton Station. This small train line closed many, many years ago, for reasons few can remember. No-one has shown an interest in the place, not for a very long time, until your brother arrived. He is an architect, a talented one, with great flair and imagination. He has big plans for Dowerton Station, and the small abandoned hotel, which sits alongside; quietly waiting for one last guest. All should go well, the station will buzz again with people, and the place will live once more...but it is not to be...
...you receive a startling phone call, from your brother, calling you to the station. He needs help. You must leave at once. Two students are carrying out a paranormal investigation at the hotel, ghost-hunters! They may have awoken something old, something dark, and long forgotten, which is now hungry for new life, new souls and old pain. Can such a force be understood? Or stopped? It is up to you. Call upon the mercy of the dead to uncover the mystery, and discover the true identity of the Dark Fall.
Dark Fall -- Lights Out
as I was going up the stair....
Three men once manned the lighthouse on Fetch Rock, but they vanished without trace on New Year, 1900. No-one knows what really happened to those three poor souls, and no-one is brave enough to stay in the lighthouse, alone, after dark. Except you...travel to Fetch Rock Island, and discover what really happened...
‘Fetch’ is the old English word for ‘ghost’; The old lighthouse is built upon something ancient and terrible, causing manifestations, time distortions and unexplainable paranormal events. Only by jumping through time, from the ancient Bronze Age to a futuristic research base, will you be able to uncover what is really happening on fetch Rock. Was your arrival upon the Island, that foggy night, really coincidence, or is someone, or something calling to you, across time.
Lights Out is an indirect sequel to Dark Fall: The Journal, and is based upon an actual event; The Mystery of Flannan Isle, when three lighthouse keepers vanished without trace, at New Year 1900. Many theories have been put forward, over the passing decades, as to what fate may have befallen the poor souls that night, out at sea, but none can explain what really happened. Included with the companion are historical documents and facts, from the time, as well as Wilfred Gibson's haunting 'Ballad of Flannan Isle', which features in the game. (A brand new ‘Directors Cut’ with new scenes, ghosts & puzzles.)
Dark Fall -- Lost Souls
it knows your name....
Amy Haven went missing 5 Years ago. On the anniversary of her disappearance you, the Police Inspector who failed to find Amy, have returned to the Train Station and Hotel at Dowerton for one last time. As you attempt to solve the mystery of Amy's disappearance you must face the horrors that await you. The old buildings have deteriorated since your first investigation, so you must watch your step, and never turn your back on the darkness....for Something hides there; Something evil, unknowable, and hungry.
Welcome to Dowerton; a once picturesque rural village, hidden away in the English countryside. Like many villages, Dowerton has been tainted by modernity and failure; sallow youths hide in the shadows, losing their minds to chemical slime, others simply disappear into the woods, never to be seen again, while the elders of the village hide indoors, all too aware of the darkness that lurks outside.
What has happened to Dowerton? The once grand Train Station was the heart of the community, but only the very brave, or the very stupid, now approach the place, which slips further into dereliction with each passing day. Adjoining the Station, is the Victorian-era Station Hotel.
Once a haven for weary travellers and adulterous lovers, the hotel is now in ruins. Rot, decay and time are tearing the place to pieces...leaving you very little time. For you will be entering the old Hotel at Dowerton, one last time, to learn the secret of the Dark Fall.

At last! All three chilling Dark Fall games from English frightmaster Jonathan Boakes!
All are brilliantly atmospheric and immersive, and rely on minimalistic music and sound effects to create a mood and environment which will test the strongest and most jaded nerves.
All three present a haunt approaching Lovecraftian quality -- a hidden lurker in the darkness, hungering to break through its bounds and re-enter the word of men. Surrounding the central evil are the hosts of spirits already enthralled to this entity -- help them! Before the shadow out of the darkness slips into the world of light....

All three games should mount and install easily on Daemon Tools Lite or your other favourite disc emulator. "Lights Out" includes a required serial; the others do not.
