'Symphony of the night' keeps crashing on me after the intro movie. Anyone else experiencing the same issue?

great up man. unlocked both symphony of the night and the pc-engine version of Rondo of Blood (I was afraid it was going to be the snes version)
the 3d-update is real nice and the game is a bit more forgiving (they seemed to make enemy movement patterns less annoying than the original and I don't think I have had a cheap death yet. when you die, it's your fault). there is a shit ton to unlock and I love my linear castlevania games and the 3d-remake may even topple Super Castlevania IV, which is one of my favorite snes games and my favorite castlevania game. though i do miss the eight way attack pattern that was in SCIV.
symphony of the night (which is very easy to unlock) has much better script and you can listen to it in japanese and use quick-save which isn't in the original. also this SotN seems to load like the original PS version. the SotN eboot i tried (the most popular one on the bay atm) has prolonged loading times and has a relatively large file size compared to all that you get in this game. only downside is that you can't make it fullscreen like the eboot.
way underrated game here i mean you get 3 fucking games that all kickass. it's even torn me away from bioshock infinite and DMC
hope they make another an hd, 2d linear castlevania sometime. i mean shit it's been like 20 years
