Extremezone's uploads are incredibly hard to screw up. All you do is install and apply the crack and it should work. But that doesn't mean that it's entirely you computer's fault. It could just be a fault in the way that it was downloaded. if your torrent is missing files or is incomplete in any way, you could try to do a "Force recheck" if you haven't already removed the torrent from your bt client. And always start the game using "Run As Administator"
Other then that, I don't know what else to tell you. It works fine for everyone else. Or at least most of them.

For those with lag/low performance could type >> -str -npd -nonv Options in command line box.
This will fix the incompatibility issue but because game is launched with parameters windows pointer will show in game .. annoying. To solve that there is an app that hides windows pointer/mouse.
Method 1:
-download nomousy app ( )
-inside zip run nomousy.exe with parameter -hide in command prompt (cmd) ->> mouse is hidden, now launch game
-to restore mouse you'll have to run again nomousy -hide in cmd
Method 2 (for noobs - no cmd):
-instal AHK compiler ( )
-download nomousy app ( )
-run nomousy.AHK (not EXE)
-use ctrl+j to hide/unhide mouse
-enjoy the game
Note: nomousy.ahk is not independent, still needs nomousy.exe, so keep both files together. Also, to exit nomousy.ahk right click on the green icon near system clock/systray and exit.

I tried running the launcher as a reg user and as the admin and I've tried launching the game .exe as the reg user and as admin

Great upload, easy install. Im disappointed in this game. They cap the frame rate at 30 fps. The game is unplayable and laggy. I play every game to date on ultra high settings maxed out with no problems. I understand they cap it at 30 fps because originally its a console game and they used 30 fps for the facial recognition program thus impossible to increase it higher as it would of cost them alot more for example to make it 60 fps or even 120 fps.
All they wanted to do is make a quick buck and screwed over PC users when they just made it a console port. Why even release the game if this was a known issue?? Hopefully there will be a patch to fix this soon. Major dissapointment.

Hi, am having difficulties launching the game.
I installed the game and copied the date from the "SKIDROW"-folder into the main game folder.
After launching the programm I get the intro scenes from Rockstar and Team Bondi. After that the L.A. Noire screen appears with a small little "synchronising" sign. It doesnt get further from there.
I was not connected to the internet at that point.
I didnt get asked anything about the rockstar social club at any point during the installation.
Any suggestions?

For those of you having issues with lag, you do know the requirements for the game require a dual core processor to run the game at full graphics, ive got a quad core in my pc and no lag or freezing issues and screen doesn't freeze on verifying the DLC. 1. Remove dots from game folder
2. Copy only patch to game folder and run it, click update wait until it finishes

1)In the laucher of l.a. noire select options
2)At the bottom there's box for inserting a command
- insert "-npd -str -nonv"
3)Play
Note: That command deactivates some highly advanced features available only in the top/expensive graphic cards. The game will then run with the same demand of resources as GTAIV as far as i know.

@cp24 : Same problem here. It's definitely the crack that isn't working for us XP users. When I launch the game without the crack, it runs fine, but if I put the crack in, game won't run and "... has stopped working" message pops up.
I believe it's about the steam DLLs (steam_api.dll and/or Steamclient.dll)
If you or anyone else find a solution/workaround, please post here.

1)Type "msconfig" on the search bar of the start menu.
2)Select "Boot" then "Advanced options"
3)You'll then find a check box saying "Max memory" or "Memory Usage" (i dont operate the english version of win7). Set it to 4096(=4gb) although in my case, and i dont know why, i must lower to 4050 or less otherwise the box won't check and the 3,5gb remain the usable memory available.

Sonuyos & .Dude. uploaded a fix which would help Users like us get the normal 60fps. I'm experiencing one of the strangest situations in my +20 years gaming history. The game works choppy and laggish, but when I press handbrake during driving I get huge increase in FPS. So it's a paradox that driving with handbrake is easier then whithout ;) I fullfill minimum reqs and tried many methods to make the game run smooth all the time. Thanks for the release SKiDROW and extremezone. I've been wanting to play this one before it was even out and have had to wait this long to get my hands on it since I couldn't afford it for PS3 or Xbox 360 and I was too lazy to flash my Xbox 360 DVD drive.
Works absolutely perfect and how I would expect it to. Runs playable on my system, so if anyone is having problems it's not the release and it's your system. At first I couldn't get it to work, so I reformatted my computer and it runs like a dream now. Anywhere between 15-30 FPS, which is what I expected with 5 year old hardware.
I'm about 2 1/2 hours into it so far with no issues. Only problem is I got stuck on an object last night, but no big deal. This seems to be a common problem with all games these days, so no harm done there.

@espasker Yes, you will create an account with Social Club. When you click "new user" or create account" or whatever it is you will see "create local account". This is what you will want to click on. If you try to create an online Social Club account it's not going to work for you.
All you need to do with DVD2 after it has installed the data from DVD2 is look for the SKiDROW folder, in here is the crack. Just extract the contents of the SKiDROW folder to your main L.A. Noire folder. It will put some files in your base folder, and some in a sub folder.
You will also want to download the update (just look for it on here on TPB - it's by SKiDROW). This fixes some performance issues that Rockstar addressed as well as removed the on screen cursor while playing. Additionally, the DLC is actually separate. There's a 1 GB torrent on here by SKiDROW as well that adds DLC to the game.

3. right click on the every .exe to do with the game, go to compatibility, and run as administrator.

*runs as admin in all exe.

Windows 8 Dev Preview will sit at Sync forever.
For Windows 7 you need steam open and need the 1.0.5.0 Social Club that is within this torrent.

Games work great. For all those who have problems with FPS and have good PC configuration do next. Start game via LA Noire launcher, then go to options and in command line type this -str -npd , worked for me this way. Thx extremezone for uploading.

Okay, I'm seriously confused. I'm not that new to this, and I know about installing from both discs, blah, blah. I copied EVERYTHING from the crack to the installation folder and the message I get is this:
"The program can't start because d3dx9_43.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem."
...I've uninstalled and reinstalled about 5 times now, done everything I'm supposed to (I'm pretty sure) and I get this message every single time. extremezone, I really love your stuff, and you are great. Could you possibly help me?

ok so i downloaded this and installed it twice. data1.cab is messed up, it says the archive is either unknown or damaged. also during gameplay the first time you check the body outside the shoe store it blurs out. same thing happens when you open your book. i dropped all the settings as low as i can and tried the -str blah blah stuff but it's still blurry. to make some things clear, no i am not new to this i make tutorials for this kind of thing. yes i know google is my friend but not on this topic. so if anyone has a real fix for this please let me know, i will check back daily. trolls will be ignored because i don't have time for that crap. thanks in advance and thanks for the awesome upload extremezone

How to make a quick install of a game: first you need to have an external hard disk drive (this is really important, you can't do this without an external hard disk, make sure there's space enough to hold this game!)
Step 1: Install the game, and copy the crack to the games directory as usual.
Step 2: navigate to where the game's directory is located, it's probably called "rockstar games" or something like that, right click on that folder select "copy" and then navigate to your external hard drive and paste it there. This will make a copy of the game's files to your external hard disk.
Step 3: Disconnect your external HDD from your computer.
Step 4: after you disconnect your External, proceed to uninstall the game from the uninstall manager as normal. Delete the install folder "rockstar games" if it remains after you've uninstalled the game.
Step 5: Hook up your external to your comp once again, and copy the games files to programfiles(x86). Make a shortcut of the executable to your desktop, and play the game!!
In fact you can copy the game files to ANY computer in the world, all you do is make the shortcut to desktop and wallaaaa it's ready to play!! you can upload it to the TPB by zipping it in a rar file, so other people can install it easily too. Just unzip, make a shortcut to your desktop, and boom!!! play the game.
I am just showing you how to do this because I can't upload it myself, my internet connection sucks.

Ok I had a problem with this game big time after installation. I see there are 374 comments so this may have been said before.
after installing the game defaults to 1280 with a frame rate of 60, had a constant frame rate of 3-5fps trying to play the game, I installed which I was hoping would fix the problem, it didn't. going through the options even putting everything on performance didn't work. but changing to direct x 11 and putting native rez to a1280x**** 59 changed everything. Everything runs smooth now.

I had the black screen problem after the LA Noir logo showed. Updated DivX and my graphics card driver, still didn't work. Uninstalled and reinstalled the game, and bingo. Works perfectly. Very happy as it takes a long time to download over 13GB of game!

This was a quick download which worked great. Smooth install, easy instructions (which are the same for most games.)
I however, didn't make it more than thirty minutes into the game itself. I had figured a detective-style game would have a degree of repetition but WOW. I just don't have the patience for so much of it.

Its a very good game!
Rockstar keeps to amaze me with Red Dead, L.A. Noire and GTA!
And I found a little bug at the sync process at the start of the game, if you have the same bug read the following:

Synchronization Takes Forever Bugfix (by me)
(I use AVG Antivirus and so the instructions are for it)
1. Download the game and start it, the anti-virus should create a Firewall rule for it and will automatically enable it to use the internet.
2. Close the game after the first run and go to your Firewall settings.
3. Disable internet ability for "LANoire.exe".
4. Run the game and see that the sync process is disabled. (not disabled but exiting after seeing it has no internet capability)

Hi, this game works perfect you can overcome any error you get, don't get upset about slow FPS, the game is capped to 30 Frames for its pc version as it was just converted from console to pc and not really remade for pc.
The voice acting is brilliant, and the game is awesome, i've seeded so far 9 gb and i will keep seeding as long as people want to download, great game diffidently worth the wait, i think i'll buy it once the price drops too, their worth it.

I'd need some help, please. When I first installed the game, I also installed Social Club, but as the game didn't run at first (cuz I made a mistake at copying crack), I uninstalled the game and deleted Social Club. But now, when I want to install the game again, there's no Social Club. This is a problem because when I click on the Launcher (with crack, of course) I recieve an Error message and it tells me to reinstall Social Club, but as I said, I can't do it.
If you know, how would I be able to install Social Club again, please help me.

okay guys, it is quite simple.
1.download
2.mount sr-lanoire1 with program of choice (virtualclonedrive for me)
3.go to E: or whatever letter its mounted on and click on setup.exe
4.do what it says
5.when it asks for the other disk, mount sr-lanoire2, so now both are mounted
6.if it was mounted on G: then direct the little window to G: (nothing else) it doesn't really matter what letter it was mounted on
7.when it is finished installing go into the skidrow folder on sr-lanoire2 (it will be where you mounted the image file) and copy and replace everything in there to the directory where you installed the game
8.play game

It's definitely frustrating not being able to get a game working, so here are a couple common problems + solutions I had.
Problem 1 = Once the first small game menu appeared, clicking the 'Launch Game' button would do nothing.
Solution 1 = Recopied the contents of the skidrow folder into the installation folder
Problem 2 = Stuck at the synchronizing screen.
Solution 2 = Had to turn off my firewall (Comodo firewall). Try turning off yours. Synchronizing is when the game tried to connect to the game servers etc so it makes sense.
I hope that helps anyone having these problems. :)

For those of u who have the problem with endless sync, the only thing u need to do is manually update social club.

Btw, the game ain't slow, mine is maxed out without any lag what so ever. I'm on a GTX570 overclocked to 920mhz cclk and 2100mhz mclk. Cpu is i5 2500k currently overclocked to 4.5ghz. There is way heavier games out there.

OKAY I HAVE FOUND A SOLUTION TO THE SYNCRONATION PROBLEM. First you install like normally would, put crack in, the usual but get the social club update then click skip when it asks you to create a social club profile. then yes to a default profile to save your game. don't block it in you firewall. just play. Enjoy!

Glad I downloaded these games late, to where all the bugs and problems have been fixed. Some of these directions can get a little complicated from the usual "mount, install, copy crack, play" but security for games has been stepped up. You downloaded it, read the directions thoroughly, and you should be fine. Sometimes it seems downloaders on here ask questions that SHOULD be common sense at this stage in the game. I just finished the game it works, i had to use a fix because it lagged all the time even on low with the fix it worked fine even on max settings.
Thanks for the upload but this is not the complete edition this one only has 1 of 5 dlc cases on it, if you want all those 4 extra cases download a real complete edition.
