SINOPSIS:
Nueva York, 1863. La ciudad está regida por la corrupción polÃtica. Five Points es un oscuro agujero de la que después serÃa la Gran Manzana. Y allà están a punto de enfrentarse dos bandas: Los Conejos Muertos", formada por emigrantes irlandeses, y cuyo lÃder es Priest Vallon ( Liam Neeson ), un hombre muy respetado por todos; y los llamados "Nativistas", con William Cutting ( Daniel Day-Lewis ), al que llaman "Bill el carnicero", al frente. En este contexto, el joven inmigrante irlandés Amsterdam Vallon (Leonardo DiCaprio) busca venganza contra William Cutting (el hombre que mató a su padre).
