I ripped the screener with Handbrake to an .mp4. But since there were two discs to rip, I used Quicktime to combine them. So that's why it was saved as an .mov.

I used TMPGenc Authoring Works 4 to re-encode/burn this to dvd. It took well over 1 hour. AnyDVD and CloneDVD Mobile will work perfect to convert this .mov screener to an avi or a dvd. *There are times of stuttering and slow frames in this screener, but it is the screener and nothing else. **Thank you very much circlensess and TPB.

If you are having problems with the audio or with missing footage, try playing the file with QuickTime. I saw the movie in theaters and there is nothing missing from what I can tell. Hopefully the scene will release a proper DVDR of this screener.

After watching this again, there is about two minutes of footage missing around the 36:23 mark. You will notice the video skip and see some distortion. Not a huge deal, but hopefully a release group can release a proper version.

Just wanted to give everyone a head up on a problem I encountered. I just downloaded this file and works great on my computer with Quicktime and VLC media player. BUT, i converted this with CONVERTXTODVD and the audio mutes about half way through the movie. Anyone else run into this problem?

I watched it with VLC and after 1H 22Min or so the sonds stops. But there are like two sound-channels so just choose the other channel or track. Hope someone understood.

i tried to burn this with convert x to dvd and it failed. so, i figured I would atleast watch it on my computer till i can get a better copy. it stops at 1.25 min into the movie and no sound. i am going to try another torrent on tpb. i am not sure what happened but this wasted one dvd and my night. thanks, anyway.

Here are the steps to fix the audio for your own download.
Basically, you can use Yamb (MP4 Demuxer) to split up the video and audio tracks to RAW format. Then use MKVMerge (MKV Matroska Muxer) to join the tracks back together in the proper order with the right audio delay. Download these two programs first and install.
Start Yamb and select Editing and then Extract Streams option to get the the audio tracks out of the .MOV file. You only need to save the two audio tracks into RAW format files that'll have .AAC extension after extraction.
Start MKVMerge and Add the original .MOV file to get the Video track (mp4v). Unselect the two audio tracks (mp4a) from the .MOV file since you don't want them. Now Add the first extracted audio track .AAC file then select that file in the bottom list and hit Append to select the second audio track .AAC file. The second appended file should have a "++>" mark on showing that it was Appeneded and not Added. If the mark did not show up select the first audio track (mp4a) and then hit the Append button.
Now in the bottom Tracks section select the "++> AAC" second audio track and go to the Format Specific Options tab and in the Delay (in ms) field set it to 1000 for the audio delay. This is necessary otherwise the second half of the movie will have audio out-of-sync and this will fix it.
Now just hit Start Muxing button on the bottom and you should end up with a nice and fixed .MKV file with the video and audio tracks in the right order and without audio sync issues.

This worked perfectly on my PC running Quicktime. I don't see why people don't just buy computers with HD outputs (most of them) and plug them into the TV, eliminating the need for old-school DVDs. Much easier.

To clarify things for everyone all the copies of benjamin button that are availible are from the the same original source thus they all have the glitches and missing 3 min at 1:36Hr. The reason for this is that the man who ripped the original didn't know what he was doing thus its unfixable. The only way this will be solved is either the DVDRIP or an R5 but i dont see those comming anytime soon so your just going to either download and deal with it or wait it out.

To get the audio to work in VLC manually switch the Audio Track (there are 2 english tracks).

To see this movie use VCL Media Player. Ok, at around 1:22 (1 hour and 22 minutes) the sound will disappear, that's normal just right click in the middle of the screen and select "Audio Track", then simply select "Track" and bingo, the sound is back again.
