have to temporary stop seeding for about 9 hours, will continue seeding tomorrow. sorry about this

Japppppppy (2008-08-26)

activation crack doesn't work, it says unexpected error occurred when given the license file.

Japppppppy (2008-08-26)

correction, it works if you use the graphical user interface, but not when using the terminal. Thanks Cbswe, this was a long awaited upload!!!

kiwichi7 (2008-08-31)

Please, Help!!!

Cbswe (2008-10-10)

Is it an intel mac you got, the.mad.hatter?

bazzoola (2008-10-13)

can anyone post the crack by itself?
or at least say who's the cracker and where we can get it?

Cbswe (2008-10-14)

bazzoola: if you want the crack only, I can send it to you by mail. its 8Kb in size.. my mail is my piratebay username at hotmail dot com =)

bothsame (2008-10-21)

Installs and works with Debian amd64.
*However* reading files on 64-bit linux can repeatedly cause it to crash. I think I'll try 2007b.

fatihsola (2008-10-25)

hello, i am new at matlab, and i am having problems.
when i try use use symbolics, it says that;
License checkout failed.
License Manager Error -8
Make sure the HostID of the license file matches this machine, and that the HostID on the SERVER line matches the HostID of the license file.
(by the way, what i am trying is that;
>>syms a b
>>c=a+b
thanks)

zvennijay (2008-10-27)

Please Help me!
i have downloaded the torrent of mat lab and want to install it on my mac, (haven´t work with mac before).
I know where the file of matlab torrent is, but when i want to open the file the computer asks me with which program i want to open mat lab? i don´t know anything about that i´m downloading for the first time with my mac a program!
would be kind of you if you could help me!
thanks sven

Cbswe (2008-10-27)

zvennijay:
If you are referring to the .iso-file then a app like Toast Titanium should be used to mount it. Furthermore, you will need X11 installed on your mac to run matlab.

PablooDemon (2008-12-22)

Working GREAT Torrent! Thank You!

attackemu (2009-04-21)

hey could someone post the activation key? I have the download from a different torrent, but not the key. Thanks a lot guys

attackemu (2009-04-21)

cancel my last post--activation key works fine. New problem though, seems like others are having this problem as well--
when I try to launch matlab using "Start MATLAB", the icon bounces on the dock a few times, then disappears. Clicking on the application "Matlab2008a" just gives the output "alias does not lead to anything" or something like that.
Any brave souls who could offer a solution to this greatest of life's problems? I'd really appreciate it.
Using a macbook pro, intel

madbad429 (2009-05-24)

hi, nubcake here: could someone post the file installation key?

bjarnol (2009-09-08)

Whatever I do I always get the same error when trying to activate:
There was an unexpected exception. See the log file
(/var/folders/Ou/Ouz5jgwQGUCn6rlT3NGYsU+++TI/-Tmp-/aws.log)
for more details.
I got a new MacBookPro so that's not the problem.

Cbswe (2009-09-13)

I think the activation executeble is incompatible with snow leopard =/

Mr.Ics (2009-10-24)

change java preferences to run app in 32 bit mode
(after completing activation you can turn it back to 64 bit)
NB you had to start matlab AFTER changing java option. Or it will not take effect

jdanson (2009-11-02)

blogrider (2011-03-06)

hii
how to install this file on my computer that operates on windows xp pro sp3..?
pls help me!!

Aroun88 (2011-03-10)

I think it'd be useful to clarify how to get rid of the "unexpected exception error"
I'm on MacOS 10.6.6 and I initially thought it was only a Java problem. But moving the 32 bit thing in the preferences didn't change anything.
I found on the web that it was possible to edit the license file to make it work manually but...
After many tries, I placed the server license on my desktop and didn't move it during the install/activation. It asks me to browse it a first time during the install and as it didn't move, the license manager didn't ask it again and just gave me a successful activation message without even showing me the usual window.
Everything works fine now. I'm not sure that's exactly the solution I tried many things...
That's a so simple thing but people still had the problem so...

Aroun88 (2011-03-10)

I forgot one thing.
I can't remember if the standalone license installation asked for the license file during the installation, I don't think so.
I'm finally not sure the thing can work with the standalone license...

AB1993 (2011-03-25)

The error you get when you use the stand_alone.dat is from the Java. If you follow Cbswe's link on the previous page and follow the directions their (basically changing the Java Preferences temporarily to a 32-bit) and retry the license activation it should work, at least it did for me.

mermaidMM (2011-04-10)

could someone please seed

mermaidMM (2011-04-21)

Thanks! Works great!

bulaon_rochelle (2011-07-06)

adaephon (2011-08-13)

booksix (2011-08-23)

Installed fine, license works but I get the -95 when launching. There is no .lmstart in the "etc" directory within the MATLAB root directory (no dot files at all, just license.dat. Any other ideaas?

connectme (2011-09-05)

Thanks Cbswe, you're cool. Downloaded easyly...

crucius (2012-11-25)

i'm on ML and can't make the license work because there's no java preferences. how can i solve the activation problem?

asafava (2013-10-31)

Hi all,
I just got MATLAB activated.
The problem is:
After the installer finishes, you are prompted to activate MATLAB. You should select activate without the Internet. You get to the screen where it asks you to provide the license file (which is in the crack folder, pick the one matching the serial # you provided). You select the file and when you click next, you get an Exception and MATLAB won't activate.
Why this happens:
This is a 32bit Java program. Mac OS X defaults to a 64bit Java Runtime Environment, hence the exception.
How to fix it:
If you have an OLD version of Mac OS X (BEFORE 10.7), in the Preferences panel, under the preferences for Java, you can temporarily promote java 32bit to a higher priority, and the program will work as expected, as the link on the previous page says. Notice you need to restart MATLAB after you change the priorities for them to take effect. You can restore the default after you hacktivate.
If you have a new version of Mac OS X, there will be no such possibility in the Java preferences. But Java, which is installed in
/System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Versions/Current*,
can be started in 32bit or 64bit. Modify the program files to explicitly call the 32bit version:
Go to /Applications/MATLAB_R2008a/bin and edit the activate_matlab.sh script. (You may need ot enter your pwd). Scroll down to line #412, which reads:
XTRAFLAGS=
change it to:
XTRAFLAGS="-d32"
Save the file and restart MATLAB.
Cheers
