TEMPEST X3: TEMPEST was huge arcade hit in the 1980s. Vector graphics combined with a rotating control knob and easy to learn (but hard to master) gameplay made it a game that sucked the allowance out of your pocket one quarter at a time. Now that same game has come to the PlayStation with TEMPEST X3. In addition to the Classic Tempest, there are two other modes of play. In Tempest X, there are warp gates that will get you through certain levels, and an AI-controlled droid that helps you through some of the tougher spots. There is also Tempest Duel, which pits you against a friend and an unlimited supply of enemies. All of the action takes place to a new techno soundtrack that puts you in the right mood for the fast action that ensues .
