Your step 4 says to insert the \"crack\" into the \"install folder\" could you give an exact file location?(crack location/install folder location). In the future it might be a good idea to include a Read Me with instructions...lots of people do their torrents different so it\'s hard to figure out how to do it sometimes! This is the only \"semi\" working ME2 torrent and I\'d like to get it to work. I also am getting a \"Failure to authenticate the disc.\" which might be due to not placing the crack, dunno.

@dsyphos: The install folder is the folder that is installed onto your computer. The crack file is, as always, the exe that replaces the installed exe. You find it in the Razor1911 folder in the iso.

Great upload. For those having problems with the install do not worry about the key gen that disk 1 has. Simply use one of the codes he provides in his description. Second, I have Windows 7-64bit and his crakc only worked once I put into the binaries file that is in the the Mass Effect 2 folder after install. I put his crack (which is found on disk 1 in the Razor1911 folder) in that binaries folder and then ran the game with running the crack. Everything works flawlessly after that. Having played the sequel first, and because of the awesome continuous history mechanism, I was able to change the story a lot for my second play-through of Mass Effect 2. The game works great with occasional crashes in some spots. Had to use a single core fix to get past the loading screen. Game works on a 3.33 ghz single core, even though the specs say you need a dual core. With my single core the game does lag just a little but not very often. Can't wait till there is a fix for the crashes.

@masterp90 reinstall winrar and make sure that it supports ISO type files, or just look somewhere in options and settings for alist of check boxs, and make sure ISO is ticked. btw just drag and drop the iso contents into a new folder and run the autorun or set up that usually works best, never run the setup from the ISO it self using winrar

To all you concerned 64bit users, this will! work on your PC - you just select the C: "program files" folder as your install location, instead of the default "program files (x86)" dir - this is where all 32bit applications go on a PC ruining a 64bit OS.
Just one more thing, which may be confusing some people: you don't just copy the crack straight into the "Mass Effect 2" folder - you have to click into it and then copy the crack into the "binaries" folder. Do that and you'll get the familiar "copy and replace" option. Hopefully, you're all good after that.

OK, I need to add one more thing: When I said that you had! to install into the "program files" folder if you where running a 64bit OS, I should have made it clear that's what I did only because that game wouldn't install into the default "program files (x86)" folder. I can't be sure that it was down to my OS being 64 bit. So If the normal install goes OK for you, then don't bother messing with it.

its a freeware that allows you to mount ISO files as a virtual CD or DVD drive. Basically a program that lets ya use those ISO files without having to go through the extra step of burning a dvd. Hope that helps

if having trouble installing this, download virtual clone drive and install it. then mount the first rar file and select autorun. install as normal. when you are asked to insert disk to simply mount the second rar file and autorun that. the crack is in the first rar disk/file. open it with winrar and go to the razor1911 folder. the keygen and crack are in this. to use the crack copy it into the programfile/mass effect 2/ binaries folder.

This torrent is so stupid. As numerous people have already pointed out, I would like to reiterate my problems with this torrent:
-14.29gb zipped file that isn't even compressed?
-Instructions say to extract the files, which means you have 28.6gb of files for this shit?
-Extracted files don't even contain iso's, dvd1 and dvd2 files don't exist.
Maybe you're just supposed to mount the files you download and go from there, but once again, all the instructions say to extract the files, and you need the crack from the extracted files. Anyhow, this is a piece of shit, I have no idea why I tried this over the working 4gb torrent just for slightly improved cutscene quality.

Firstly, this torrent contains no zip files. Only the image files for both DVDs. Original Razor1911 releases are zipped in a split archive of a bunch of small packs around 15mb each to make it easier to upload to certain non-torrent download sites. Obviously this has been extracted and re-uploaded with the original Razor1911 instructions.
You just mount the image files and copy the crack. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to look at the contents of the torrent and see 2 image files and realize all you need to do is mount or burn, grab a key, install, and copy the cracked files. This is only the same routine that has been used for over a decade now.
Sometimes the intelligence of people on the internet really amaze me.

To anyone with the disk 2 issue you need to mount the first iso file when asked for disk 2 mount the second file. I tried using rar to extract the files but couldn't run the disk 2 autorun exe. rar doesn't work for some reason (it worked for me in other razor1911 torrents)

usually when your about to land anywhere you choose which character you will go with, however on my screen it doesn't show anyone else but Jacob.
It just shows the others as datapads, and there is no add button to select which members you wish to go with. and whats more is it only shows Jacob as add with the crew already (all highlighted, and won't unhighlight)
At this point because there is no add button I can't begin the mission....

I have a different problem. Downloaded, installed the game, had trouble with the crack, kept getting "Binaries: This or folder is in use or being used by another program" so it wouldnt let me copy the crack over. Finally got the crack installed. Started and played the game fine, Had to save and quit, ran to the store, came home, tried to start the game, now it wont load, at all, i click on the ME2 crack .exe file nothing happens, screen goes black then kicks back to desktop after a few seconds, Windows Logs showing its crashing in system logs cannot get game to restart

1. seeding is easy, once the torrent has finished downloading just simply leave the torrent in your downloader (mines utorrent) so then people can download from you, simple :) you can monitor how much you have seeded by looking at the "uploaded" amount! try to do atleast a 1:1 ratio.
2. anyone having crashes/starting issues simply try going back to the root of the cause, find out why it happens, when it happens, if you see a pattern to it, try and fix it but if you dont know how simply reinstall the game! its irritating i know but 90% of the time will solve most issues like this! if that fails then a re-download may be needed!
and lastly i would like to say i can admit to not seeding EVERYTHING i download but for things that are 1GB and over i generally seed for a about 8 days :) thanks for the torrent! you're almost a god

I had the same problem and searching for it got me a solution that works perfectly. This was posted in the bioware forums by user "bnomad"

Download, install. Copy crack by mounting disc one iso, right clicking on its icon in Computer, then Explore. Go into Razor1911 folder in disc, copy MassEffect2 application and paste into Program Files--> Mass Effect 2-->Binaries folder.

I have been with piratebay and have been a loyal follower of razor and skidrow. These two uploaders are the only ones i trust and after seeing some of the fucking stupid comments, I just HAD to register and comment.
First off, Your downloading at your own risk! keep that in mind.
Second, 10 times out of 10 razor has some good quality uploads and would NEVER put a virus in just to fuck with you.
Third, Keygens will ALMOST always be detected by antimalware and antivirus software due to the fact that they need to be able to use md5 or whatever encryption/decryption techniques used for serial numbers of that partiqular program.
READ the god damn description in ALL torrents before downloading. if you get a virus, its because your a fucking dumbass that doesnt need to be illegally downloading shit and need to go fuck off so you can let the rest of the community d/u in fucking peace.

Use this version instead: . I wanted to do the dlc I hadn't tried before ME3, I had the saves but the game wasn't installed. I had the full game (unripped 14.5gb version) and about 2/3 of the dlc already, and I still chose to dl this version rather than going through the hassle of installing all the dlc individually. When you rip the other languages besides english the game is about 5 gb, and dlc is about 6 gb...

FYI to install this game......First make one folder than inside the folder make two folder and rename disk 1 and 2 and extract iso 1 to disk 1 and iso 2 to disk 2 after extract copy file from disk 2 (data folder to disk 1 (data folder) if asking to overwrite just skip everything. @ uritziel: The leech/seed ratio is fine (almost 1:1) and 8mbs is not a fast connection. 8 is still slow enough that you can "hit the wall" where you have established connections to a lot of ppl w slow upload speed, but you can't handle more because of overhead. At 20mbs or higher you will see a significant boost to your download speed on the same torrents, and at 100mbs you can have any game on the top 100 in a few hours, and never write "seed pls" again in your life.

Mount D1 ISO & install, when asked mount D2 ISO & click OK.
In the Razor1911 Folder is the crack. Copy crack to the install directory.
It is here by default:- C:/Program Files/Mass Effect 2/Binaries
Install all DLC as guide directed with the ReadMe at the bottom!!!!

This should work perfectly. Update everything .Netframe work, drivers etc etc

Steps for importing a ME1 save
------------------------------

1) Run the Mass Effect 2 configuration utility from the main launcher. Which is found here:-
C:/Program File/Mass Effect 2/Binaries/MassEffect2Config.exe
2) Click the 'Save Games' button.
3) Click the 'Copy Mass Effect 1 Save Games' button,and select the appropriate location for your ME1 save game.
(The default location is 'My Documents/bioware/Mass Effect/Save'.)
4) This will copy the appropriate save games from your ME1 directory into the proper place in the ME2 directory.
5) Run Mass Effect 2, and from the main menu select 'New Game'.
6) Select 'Import ME1 Character'.
7) Your savegame should now show up in the list.

If your ME2 game is in the same directory then your ME2 saves will show in ME3.

Ok I've downloaded, installed, and followed EVERY direction correctly. I start the game, make my character and sit through the cutscene, (unskippable!) but then after I gain control of Shepard, the game works fine except when I try pressing anything other than the movement keys, at which point the game crashes.
