Try downloading the demo and copying the text files from the english demo to the full game. Im not sure if it will work but I have the demo and its brilliant.

Ok ive downloaded this and used the text files from the demo to have the text in english. The only problem is the race descriptions are not present.
@siffonen To get that task to wprk press E to exit the vehicle and look around the vehicle. Then press E again to enter the vehicle and the task is finished. Also after the first 3 races are done go back to that first task location to unlock more races.

BTW, you guys know how to edit the user files to get any amount of money you want right? You have to edit player.xml, make it read only, launch the game, buy your shit, alt+tab the game down, uncheck read only, play the game a little and bang, the money stays, Works in the demo.

UAZ was a good game in it's own right. It just wasn't all action bullshit unrealistic arcade physics bullshit like a lot of A.D.D, idiotic kids think realism is. UAZ was meant for the hardcore off-road crowd, not the casual gamer who plays NFS.

I've downloaded it and put the english text files from the demo in place. I start the game and the first objective is to go to a Garage, but that's all? It doesnt give me anything else or doesnt tell me what to do? Also, it has 4 wheel drive disabled and alot more. whats the deal? How do you start career mode?

Steve, I tried copying the english files over the russian and...nothing. the game quit working and I had to remove and re-install the game. if you wouldn't mind giving a run-down of how you did it, I'd sure appreciate it...I probly didn't copy into the right directory? thanx...

@kevmeister95 install the demo then go to the demo folder and go to the Motorm4x \ Media \ texts folder. Copy the .xml files from there and copy them to the russian motorm4x folder in the same place. Motorm4x \ Media \ texts \
This worked for me perfectly. But in Vista I cant get the first races unlocked. Ive done everything I did in XP but it aint working. (Unlocking the first races that is)

I've got the english text working Steve. now, is there any kind of manual for this game? I start the game in 'game mode' and I drive to the garage and then...I'm stuck at the garage. I can leave but I can't change the destination after the garage and some of the keys and features don't work.

help,it crashes whenever i thy to enter the drag race on second map with the same car as my opponent and also same tires! i even reinstalled it,ad i don't think defragmentation would help anything.

Just familiarize yourself with the menu system with the english demo. That's what I did. That and I edited the files to have every car unlocked with billions of dollars.

You don't even need a savegame, just edit the files, make them read only, launch the game, add all your cars and mods, whatever you want, and then alt+tab the game out and uncheck the readonly, continue to play, and the money+cars you made available will be permanent.

Can anyone tell me *exactly* what to do at the first task location? Game installs fine, copy the english text across fine etc.
But can't get any further then the first task no matter what I do. Have tried pressing e and walking around the vehicle like ppl suggest but no luck.
Also noticed someone mentioned they couldnt get it to work on vista, so have tried in on XP also but am getting the same thing. Regardless of what I do at the first task location nothing else ever happens.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
