Philip Jap - Philip Jap (1983)

Best known for the singles,Save Us, 1982, which reached no 53 in the UK charts and the single Total Erasure, 1982,which did a little better peaking at no 41, these were included on his self titiled album.There are some good tracks on this album,his other single, Brain Dance which didn´t chart.Some of the other stand out tracks for me are,Death In A Tin Junk which is a little Japanish. Venue which I really like and you can understand why he was compared with Gary Numan here.Th track Jap is a really good ballad, nice tune.He appeared on the David Essex Showcase which you can see here on you tube, http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=CVAeCX-mbu0 He toured with The Europeans but I don´t know what happened to him after this album.
