Great Upload, Slave! Let me fill you in with some tech-details about the difference between mp3 and FLAC. m3 is a compression utility (the original wav file works with a datarate of 1411kb/s. mp3 compresses this to 320kb/s at its best, most mp3's work with 192kb/s, so the wav is decreases to about 15%of its original size, the remaining 85% are lost). FLAC is an archiving utility, much the same as winzip or winrar. It decreases the file size to around 70% of the wav, but "unpacked" the original wav will be created. Those who can't hear the difference should be in search of a new set of ears :)Breezin (2008-04-28)

Thanks Breezin, I'll start uploading my covers with the torrent I suppose... I can't let myself get lazy, we are the QUALITY music project after all - I'll upload the original centerfold from the vinyl LP for this as well, when I dig it out in a week or so - Had a great picture of the whole band sitting around nude in a whorehouse :)I hereby declare that all future slavetothesound releases (after Sparkle and Fade) shall include covers!

Yes, this is from CD. What would be the point of ripping a vinyl album to the same format as CD? Wouldn't that negate all benefits of the vinyl format?orsoncart67 (2008-10-01)
sorry slave, but their is a massive following for vynyl rips that have been captured with £500 s/cards and £2000+ turntablesthe way the music was mastered (analouge vs digital) just seems to the layman that cds are better
in some cases this is very obvious
try and listen to songs in the key of life on a £2000+ t/table then you will start asking differnt questions to yourself
qustion 1 can i get that sound though a dac, cd or computer, answer YES WITH THE RIGHT DIGITAL KIT
keep up the great work slavetothesound!!!
nice one PEACE
