Falling from the Sky: Flight 174 (1995)[True story] DVDrip

Also known as: Freefall: Flight 174 Flight 174 Free Fall Freefall http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0113018/ True story of a new Canadian Boeing 767 airliner that ran out of fuel in mid-air. This incident has later been used for pilots in flight simulators, and almost none of them have succeeded in landing the plane safely. The captain handled the situation with his previous experience flying sailplanes, and by remembering an old airfield that was no longer found on the maps. This has been among my favourite films since I first recorded it from television in May 1997, and I was thrilled to learn that it was now available on DVD. However, picture quality on the DVD is not first-class with minor disturbances, but I made my best out of it. Original fullscreen, 624x464, AC3, good stereo sound. Burn tested, runs well in my DivX player. Great film, excellent quality and sound. What an accomplishment, gliding a 767, and no fatalities! An example of a true disaster film where eveything turns out right. They retired the plane, nicknamed "Gimli Glider" after the landing strip, in 2008, and tried to auction it last year. Here's hoping this real piece of history lives on in some collection. Cheers!
