The police got nothing to do with IPRED, its more like representives from the movie companies etc that can request, by going to a court, personal information of a person based on the IP address.
I think you get a warning first if they catch you, and then a bill sent home to you.. which is waaay to high :|

how do you know that? as far as I know.. this is THE END of the whole series. Next season hasn't beed picked up yet by FOX. The show has really poor ratings in the US. Maybe the new Terminator movie will make FOX reconsider cancelling the show. Let's hope. It has potential imo.

Real shame if this series get cancelled.. yet, I would PAY to see the series online when it comes out, however, In Norway you would have to wait maybe a couple of months...yeah right. The show should be availible online for those who want to watch, this would be much ekstra money for the producers so we get another season.
Anyway, going to buy the whole series when it comes out on DVD. Liked the last episode very much, the one with John Henry singing at the end.

agreed, the best defense us "naughty copyright violaters" have is our numbers, right now as i start downloading this theres 17 thoudsand 700 seeders, and another 16 thoudsand 200 leechers. that makes a total of 33 thoudsand peers, they'd never even try to sue all of us.
if the poilice/authority had that kind of resources they could even simplier just go door to door on every street, probably an averge of 90% of all homes in the developed world has some illegal copyrighted material they didnt pay for.
thats not gonna happen, they focus what resources they have on taking down the actual distributers and websites/trackers/servers behind it.. so in the mean time we are safe

Those that worry about being tracked in torrent, try: Peer Guardian
It's not 100%, but what it does is block IP addresses that are known to be from Media investigative agencies.
So, although you'll download a file, you wont seed a "Blocked" IP address.

It's not really save the show, the show has been cancelled, sets gone and actors contracts unrenewed, etc.
If fox wouldn't listen to Firefly fans, they aren't going to listen now.
See the show finally got good so it had to be cancelled. That's Fox's policy. :p

I heard somewhere this is one of the most downloaded shows on these here internets - right up there with Prison Break...
unfortunately, not even Fox has any kind of intelligent "ratings" system - or alternative revenue stream - for internet-based tracking of a program's popularity/saleability so, with only your more traditional US television market system in place (and this show's lacklustre performance in that market) there probably won't be another season
...and there probably won't be any such alternative to "ratings" any time soon, either...

Wow, what a ride. I think this has been one of the best sci-fi shows on the box for years. last one was Farscape. Cant wait for the new Terminator to come onto the big screen. TSCC have been building up to the new T4 release and i hope it picks up storyline from the end of TV series. [we live in hope]

good episode. Unlike the rest of season 2 and most of season 1. I dont think writers know how to make a good one and this one was lucky. It seems FOX thinks this as well.
Imagine season 3.. not the one you hope to see, but again endless female talk between same old characters who got "resurrected" via time travel.
