I'm unsure why the Seeders is showing as 0, but rest assured I am seeding.

zulithe (2008-09-04)

Hi ViperZeroOne. Can you clarify some things for me about this torrent? Does it install if you only have Java 6 on your PC? This is the big problem with older versions of Dundjinni. It hates Java 6 and won't install if you have it and are forced to use older Java versions. 1.07 fixed this, but only if you install from the updated full 1.07 installer. Is this correct? I won't have to install an older version of Java to use this, will I? I certainly hope not. Java 6 is so much better!

ViperZeroOne (2008-09-04)

Absolutely Zulithe... I've worked out the proper method to get around the "Java" bug. You must uninstall all Java installations (this means 6) and then install the version that I've provided in the RAR file. Once you install the version I've provided, the installer will detect it and skip doing the Java install. After you've completed the entire installation you may update your Java back to version 6. I've tested this process and haven't had any issues (yet).

ViperZeroOne (2008-09-04)

Actually, now that I've reread your comment I'm not sure what you're meaning. This pack contains version 1.00 of the main setup and the patches to take it to version 1.07, which seems to continue working fine after updating back to Java 6. Hope that better answers your question.

ViperZeroOne (2008-09-05)

SEED PEOPLE! I've seen 4 people complete this download so far, so why am I the only seeder? I'm letting this thing run for another 24 hours and if I don't see more seeders I'm gonna stop seeding myself and just say screw it.

Commissar_Grimsson (2008-09-23)

fear not Viper i will seed as soon as i get it DL'd plz donlt let the other ignorant fools deter you!

Dragonkngiht (2008-09-28)

seed plz:D

widgren (2008-10-06)

great upload! ill seed this for a LONG time!
is the sci-fi stuff in there? i cant seem to find it.

trekie9001 (2008-10-13)

Protip: If you don't want to uninstall all of your versions of Java just copy the "j2re-1_4_2_02-windows-i586-p.exe" file to C:\Windows or any folder in your %PATH%

Evil Rabbit (2008-10-23)

I just finished downloading this torrent, but I am having installation problems. I followed the instructions and uninstalled my Java in order to install the version included in the rar file. My problem occurs during the Dundjinni installation after I enter in the user name and serial code. Towards the end of the version 1.00 installation, I get an error message saying "Windows cannot find 'javaw.exe. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again" followed by another message saying "Could not execute the external program javaw.exe." After that, the installation stops and closes itself. My computer runs on 64-bit Windows Vista Ultimate Edition. Is there any way to fix this error?

Bravodwg (2009-03-12)

I uninstalled Java and followed the directions but it froze at the end of the 1.00 install wizard? Any ideas? Thanks!

ViperZeroOne (2009-05-06)

It's been a while since I've replied... I haven't tested this process in the 64-Bit version of Windows, or on Windows Vista. Sorry, i should have clarified that. Your results may vary.
I just followed the entire process once more, since I reformatted my PC like 3 months ago, and it still seems to work flawlessly.

Jared87 (2009-08-18)

ViperZeroOne - you are my hero. Excellent torrent, and I'm surprised there aren't more seeders. To my knowledge, this is the best and most up to date map making software for DnD out there. Not only are you the only host, VZO, but this torrent is VERY well done. A million kudos.
That being said, I thought I might be able to share some insight for others wanting this torrent to work for them. I run Vista Home Premium 64 bit with Service Pack 2. Everything in this torrent works great for me now, but I'd like to let other similar users in on some helpful info that will save you looots of headaches.
1. Once the torrent was downloaded, I had some trouble extracting it where I wanted. I use 7-Zip, and I discovered that selecting the option "Extract Here" solved the problem. You can just move the folder wherever you want when it finishes extracting.
2. Before you do anything else, do yourself a favor and heed trekie 9001's tip. As in, do it. Seriouisly. Read his comment on this page.
3. Next, you should take steps to prevent the "DLL bug." Locate the "DLL Fix" ZIP folder located in this torrent, double click the folder, COPY the .dll file, and paste it in C:/Windows. Under "Troubleshooting" in the Instructions, it tells you to extract that ZIP file into C:/Windows/System32, but that doesn't help. Follow this step instead.
4. Download/install the latest Java if you don't have it already. At the time of writing this, it's Java 6 Update 15.
5. Follow the torrent's instructions for "Installation" and "Updating."
6. Here's the part I had to look into. When you get to Update 1.05, those update files are Executable Java "Jar" files. Make sure your Unzipping program is not associating itself with .JAR files.
7. The most important step: Go to Control Panel/User Accounts/User Accounts. Click the option that says "Turn User Account Control on or off." Uncheck the box if it isn't already. Exit and restart your computer. (After you completely install Dundjinni you can turn it back on if you like)
8. You should be able to finish updating/going through the Instructions. Have fun.

GoddessVi (2010-10-06)

How old is this? When I tried to download it said "file missing" and stopped working. D: Anybody have any reason for that? Like, is there a new version or something?

GoddessVi (2010-10-06)

Nvm: for some reason using the magnet link it didn't fail on me. Odd.

tornangel82 (2011-05-15)

ok, so it downloaded fine and i had no problems installing it- until it came to the supplements- i cant for the life of me get it to work- ive tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times- making new folders everytime but nothing works. I even looked at the help book for the program itself but that was even more unhelpful since there isnt anywhere to type in the location spot of map/object/... wtf... how the heck do u get this to work???

requiem_for_a_devil (2011-05-31)

It won't let me update from 1.04 to 1.07 o.O It keeps telling me it can't find the file during the copy. I'm running it on 64-bit Windows 7, and I've done as Jared87 suggested. Maybe I should start over?

Nothrazim (2011-06-27)

I just want to mention that i too had issues updating from 1.04 and forward (win 7, 32bit here). My solution? Download the official patches up to 1.07. So far it seems to work perfectly for me, i have yet to encounter any issues with this method. Hope this helps!

fustang (2012-01-03)

I'm on Windows 7, followed Jared87's advice and was able to install and update completely, however I'm missing all of the stock textures. Is anyone else having this problem? I've turned off UAC. I don't know what else to do. Please help.

fustang (2012-01-03)

*Update. I uninstalled everything, including the current version of Java. Installed the Java provided, and installed Dundjinni on my main OS drive. Things seem to be working now. I wonder if the problem was Java or it didn't like being on my secondary hd ?

kouraf16 (2012-07-14)

It's giving me a stupid error when updating from .4 to .7. It's saying file missing, but the file that is missing is the file that the update was supposed to add! What should I do?

Kazini (2013-04-06)

too bad this doesnt fricken work.

bbiel33 (2013-08-11)

I know most of these posts are old but I'm hoping since there are still seeders I can get some help. I get up to the java updates (1.04-1.05 etc) and when I try to run them it says version 1.05 cannot be found in the destination folder which is confusing in itself because 1.05 is what I'm trying to install. I noticed someone suggested getting the patches directly from the site instead of the torrent and that it worked for them. Unfortunately, I get the same file 1.05 not found message. Any thoughts? All help appreciated. Running Windows 7 64 bit

bbiel33 (2013-08-12)

So I fixed the problem with the missing file by not putting the files in program folder. I too am missing all of the stock textures and some of the supplemental ones.

hollow_tooth (2013-08-23)

I'm having issues with the setup. I got around the java bug, but now it's not letting me actually start the installation. Every time I try to enter the name and id key it tells me it is wrong and i should double check the registration information

mr_dove (2013-10-02)

I was initially excited to find this. I keep getting hung up on the 1.07 patch though. The patch isn't seeing the install. I researched on the Dundjinni forum but their recommendation is always to email the "store" for a copy of the 1.07 installer. Even when installing to the default directory the patch can't find it. Has anyone worked around this sucessfully? Is there a newer version of this to download anywhere? I've been scouring the net but I can't find anything newer.

Ora_unit_SR388 (2014-01-03)

Ok some things to add:
You will have to request the 1.0.7 update from the devs. Don't sweat it, they will not ask for a key.
Also:
If you want to post a campaign map online, ENSURE TO REMOVE THE META DATA. THIS IS KEY.

Stefian2 (2014-01-26)

I can't install update 1.0.7. I get this message
This installer is designed to install an addon for the dundjinni application, but there does not appear to be an existing installation of Dundjinni on this system.
All the other updates were installed with no problem but i don't know what to do with this. Any help???

MatMont (2014-02-10)

I'm having problems with the program itself. When I click Room the program freezes and I have to close the program. And the problem everyone is having I just disabled the user control and the final update went fine

Velgos (2014-09-10)

Ok guys, here is the trick for the patch 1.07 issue.
To get the .jar patches to work:
1) go to "Program Files/Java/j2re1.4.2_02/bin"
2) Find javaw.exe.
3) Right-click it, go to Properties.
4) Click the Compatibility tab.
5) Checkmark on: Run as Administrator.
6) Apply.
All .jar patches will now run without issue.

Sid_of_Id (2014-09-28)

^I dunno about doing all that. Just right click the .jar file and select "Open Outside".

tpb6662 (2014-10-01)

If you get "Could not execute the external program javaw.exe" don't bother trying. Tried absolutely all comments in this torrent, googling and it seems I'm alone in this world.
There even is another guy like me in the comments, nobody answered him.
