Season 1-4 are good quality however I'd avoid season 5 if you hate people's hardcoded watermarks and the such. As soon as I saw that [napisy pl xvid asd] "logos' at the bottom placed there by arseholes lol, I deleted that season and downloaded another and re-encoded it myself.
However, I appreciate guys like mkvGOD uploading the insane amount of tv shows he does in a logically sized files [so people actually seed] rather than those people who upload 80-100gb torrents and people just hit & run making the download take even more longer.

End Credits at the end of all episodes on season 4 and season 5 are missing. If like me you value end credits, don't download season 4 and season 5. I love end credits of Six Feet Under. Got to find another torrent. FUCK. I hate this/

I can't see my comment below. Sorry if this is a second time. Season 4 and 5 don't have end credits. So, if like me, you value end credits, and how can one not with such beautiful music at the end of episodes, don't download 4 and 5.

is it me, or does deleting the files that you have already downloaded, finding another torrent for those seasons, finding good quality rips along with small file sizes for those seasons, then download the same episodes that you just deleted, all because the end credits aren't included, seem just a bit retarded?

Season 1 & 2 are full frame, but that's the way the first two season were aired. Resolution for those is 640x480. Theoretically that should come out looking decent but the video streams are about 384Kbps so not a lot of bandwidth for the video, meaning that if you are looking at these on something bigger than a 27" monitor the image is going to get fuzzy.
For seasons 3+, the resolution is 640x346, which means the video is scaled down a bit and the image is fuzzy even looking at a 27" monitor. A .vob file (coming off the DVD) is a resolution of 720x480.
I use a 42" HDTV for my system and these are unpleasant to watch. It's just too fuzzy due to a lack of bandwidth for the video.
If you want something easier on your eyes if you have a bigger monitor there are other rips out there, and yes they have bigger file sizes, which is the only way you have enough bandwidth for the video files, and it doesn't matter if it's an MKV or MP4, or for that matter an AVI. MKV is simply more versatile and can deal with more compression methods, including H264 which I believe is what blu-ray uses. MKV doesn't make the file size smaller; it's the compression method for the video and audio streams that make the difference. The video stream is AVC and the audio stream is MP3, so the info posted is wrong. On top of that, coming off the DVD the English sound track is 5.1, but the sound on this is stereo.
Basically this is the typical low quality rip so you don't need storage space.
