Tried it. Cannot even start a new game. Let's me watch the opening cut scene, then crashes. Every time.
Do you need the RELOADED release of Stalker CS for this to work?

OK. I got this to work. I can confirm it. Very good work by RELOADED.
Thanks to all that uploaded it (AiTB) and any others.
I had a copy of my BIN folder backed up and untouched. Did not work.
I uninstalled and reinstalled the game, then used this crack. It worked.
So something bad must have been left over from the previous crack attempt.

I normally run through a game once, and if it is good...I buy it. $30-$40 is not a big deal.
When I was not making any money, I pirated. Now I make good money so I buy games and software once I try it.

I've Tested this as far as Cordon; so far so good!
The only patch you need to install this one -- 1.5.04. The previous updates aren't necessary.
Note: You're probably going to need to disable your AV software when playing this -- at least in my case, with NOD32 active, it frequently causes a crash to desktop (as it did with the previous STALKER).
Hopefully, in time, a working mini-image will surface without the need for a crack. I know for certain that the STALKER:SoC cracks caused a couple of problems later on in the game.
Anyway, good job all the same!

After having tried out some other torrents full of worms and trojans, i came to this one...
It works great...
And above all it seems free of virusses...
So THANKS for this torrent AiTB...

By the way i have XP + ServicePack3...
So i don't know if it works with Vista...
That's something you have to find out yourself...
But as i said before it's a clean torrent...

Unfortunately, the first lot of crashes are now beginning.
The circumstances in which its crashing looks remarkably similar to what happened in SoC with the crack applied.
Basically, if you're getting kicked to desktop with no error message, and you look in the xray_name.log file, you'll probably see "fatal error" and "string expected, got nil" lines -- this highly likely a cause of this crack.
Unless a mini-image or a fixed crack is released, then you're going to be stuck with a broken game.

Game launches, but my title screen is just black and i see the cursor. spamming enter will start a new game, and the opening cutscene plays fine. however, after that the game displays no graphics during the following in game cutscene, and crashes when control of the game is handed over to the player. Any ideas? I was originally getting some "cannot find system.ltx" error, and after that "cannot open fsgame. whatever"... pressing play from the auto play menu got around that and launches game. Any ideas? thanks in advance.

Checked with AVG-antivirus 8.
The weird thing is the installer and game works :D

I'd also add that it seemed to add some weird registry entries, so I dont think its just heuristics.
