Ben Addison from Corduroy presents songs from The Beatles in a pop, latin, salsa & cuban style. You never heard the fab four like this! A cool take on the music of The Beatles -- one that serves up the tunes in a sweet mix of 60s soul and jazzy grooves! The project's put together by Ben Addison, formerly of the Brit combo Corduroy -- and the style here has some of the best touches we remember from Corduroy -- a real love of 60s instrumentation and production, but served up with a slightly contemporary vibe too -- kind of a mod dancefloor mode, with some surprising shifts in the rhythms! Lead vocals are mostly by Mayka Edjole, who brings a female soul sound to these Beatles tunes -- and Ben sings a bit, and plays some great vibes on the record -- with other instrumentation that often has a bit of Latin percussion in the mix as well.
