Description:

This show was in a funky venue in the ski village at the base of Keystone Mountain in Summit County. After driving up and parking, my husband and I wandered around until we found a brewpub to hit for some dinner. As always in the mountains, it was a little colder, and as the sun went down, the temperature plummeted. Sunshine and UV DOES add a lot of warmth. The venue itself was actually a huge inflated bubble, sort of like what you sometimes see over skating rinks and tennis courts. Inside the bubble were lots of folding chairs. Despite the rather strange setting, it was intimate in its way, possibly because there weren't that many rows of chairs. I was able to set up the recording gear right by the soundboard and awaited the music. The band was doing two sets on this tour, an acoustic one and an electric one, and it lent a special dimension to most of the shows. It sort of became "An Evening With." The acoustic set opened with a lovely "Anniversary Song" and "White Sail," but what stood out was a haunting "Lonely Sinking Feeling." The acoustic version seemed to really mesh well with the lyrics. The electric set was quite a surprise, featuring "To Live is to Fly" and one of the few versions of "Ring on the Sill" played in 2004. Margo dedicated "Ring" to a friend of the band, and it was sort of amusing because it's probably my favorite song by the band, and as soon as they started playing I closed my eyes and whispered all the lyrics, swaying gently. After the song ended, a woman behind me leaned forward and asked if it had been dedicated to me, since she saw me recording and had seen me singing along quietly to most of the tunes. It hadn't been me, but it was a special moment. The double encore was especially nice. The band surprised us all by coming out to do a second encore, but they said they'd been having fun and wanted to keep playing, so "Powderfinger" was a lovely treat. This is one of my favorite shows that I've been in attendance for, and I hope everyone likes it as much as me.

You can decode the Lossless audio FLAC files into WAV files with your favorite decoder ( see http://flac.sourceforge.net/ ) then write them to a CD with no gaps between the tracks (i.e. Disk At Once) for a complete "Live" show.
When you finish downloading this Torrent you can decode the FLAC files into a different folder to make the CDs. That way you can continue to seed the show for awhile.
I'm at the end of a long, very slow pipe and I stupidly put up all 25 shows at the same time. So when one show completes I pause it so the others will speed up. I didn't expect that there would be so many people who hadn't gotten the shows from www.4TheLlamas.com .
This was an experiment for people who were on dial-up and couldn't download easily from the site. I do leave the second machine in the other room seeding all the shows, but it isn't as fast as this one. I'll keep seeding, but help with that from the faster machines out there is appreciated.
Thanks.
These shows are out here because the band gave permission.

Yes, when I de-Flacced this track it gave an error, but Flac processed it anyway and it played fine on the CD I cut. HOWEVER, I told Candice about it and she replaced the track with a corrected one on the www.4thellamas.com website. I would replace this one, but I don't know how to "fix" a bad torrent. It seems to me that if I replace it on the server that will screw everything up, and if I put a new one out here this broken one will still be here to be found. I've been busy, and haven't been able to RTFM.
