Description:
This is the first show from Europe in the SOTM series, and the first from the 2004 tour. The 2004 tour featured the band playing two sets each night. For the first set, the so-called Folk Fusion Quartet of Mike, Margo, Jeff Bird and Jaro Czerwinec, who returned to the band after a long absence for this tour, played a 30 minute acoustic set. After a short intermission, Pete and Alan would join in for a usually raucous second set. It made for a lovely contrast, particularly in quiet venues like this one.
This tour also showcased one of Mike's best ever compositions, "Notes Falling Slow." The band played it quite often on this tour, and sometimes, as in this performance, did it acoustically, which added an extra emotional component to this song of bereft relationships.
As a final note about this show, I'll leave you with Mike's impressions: "The gig tonight took place in a very cool performance space. It was inside of an old bank building which has been intelligently refurbished and renovated so that it retains its old world charm, but enables it to also be a thoroughly modern art space. It was another excellent audience: so intense and so focused. We had another very good gig. It was an absolute joy to play for these people."

You can decode the Lossless audio FLAC files into WAV files with your favorite decoder ( see http://flac.sourceforge.net/ ) then write them to a CD with no gaps between the tracks (i.e. Disk At Once) for a complete "Live" show.
When you finish downloading this Torrent you can decode the FLAC files into a different folder to make the CDs. That way you can continue to seed the show for awhile.
I'm at the end of a long, very slow pipe and I stupidly put up all 25 shows at the same time. So when one show completes I pause it so the others will speed up. I didn't expect that there would be so many people who hadn't gotten the shows from www.4TheLlamas.com .
This was an experiment for people who were on dial-up and couldn't download easily from the site. I do leave the second machine in the other room seeding all the shows, but it isn't as fast as this one. I'll keep seeding, but help with that from the faster machines out there is appreciated.
Thanks.
These shows are out here because the band gave "unofficial" permission.
