Had interlacing issue with this video in vlc: every other line was skipped in fast movement, causing distorted picture. Deinterlacing is turned off in vlc by default. Solution is to turn on deinterlacing, set to Yadif. Plays fine then.

I agree with mpilting. Deinterlacing on VLC made the picture perfect, thanks for the tip! I would have never known what to do to fix the original distorted picture.

The interlacing issue isn't the only problem with this file. The colors and contrast are inexplicably weird, and the file is about twice as big as it should be. I've encoded many hundreds of movies, and the issues with this file are just.... weird. Definitely wasn't ripped properly It's also about twice as big as it should be for the movie length with an H.264 codec. I deleted this and downloaded a different torrent.
