Can someone tell me why there are two .avi files of the same size on this? I know it's two different DVD rips, but like, are they each like half of the movie or something? I know its a bit of a dumb question, but i just want to be sure before I DL. Thanks.

I have the extended version. I bought it. There were 4 DVD's in each of the movies. Two DVD's were the extended version of the movie. The other two were the bonus/behind the scene stuff.
You would have to put in disk 2 of the movie to continue it. In Fellowship, it's right after the the Concile of Elrond. In TTT it's right as Capt. Faramir catches Sam & Frodo. I can't remember where it is in Return.
So... when ripping this extended release, it makes sence that there would two video files.
