How could a movie based on a book that is a work of fiction be a 'deception' of anything? I could see talibangelical-types being offended by Bill Maher's Religulous (awesome movie btw) which takes aim right at their core superstitions, but to get all worked up over a work of fiction is extraordinarily ridiculous, shallow and pathetic.
The Da Vinci Code is a great book and movie.
