Description:

German Learning Tips German pronunciation and spelling are regular and predictable. There are three categories of German nouns: masculine, feminine, and neuter. German nouns are always capitalized, regardless of where they occur in a sentence. For example: Der Mann läuft. Many verbs have two parts: one part that comes after the subject and one part that comes at the end of the sentence. For example: Der Mann hat einen Apfel gegessen. The German alphabet contains all the letters of the Roman alphabet and in addition includes the letter ß. The vowels in some German words have a mark written above them, a pair of dots called an umlaut ¨. This mark shows you how to properly pronounce the word, and it may distinguish one word from another, which is identical except for the mark. For example: ein Apfel – zwei Äpfel. German has both formal and informal ways to address others, depending on the age of the speaker and his or her relationship to the person or persons being addressed. This set will help you: Build your vocabulary and language abilities Read, write, speak and understand German Speak German without a script Retain what you’ve learned Practice unscripted conversations in German Negotiate complex situations with confidence and accuracy Sample topics include: The basics, such as age and family relations Questions, greetings, introductions Telling time, calendar terms, the weather Directions, locations, dining out Emotions, opinions, ideas Political, media, business terms Arranging home repairs Planning to move abroad Discussing the arts and tourism Careers and conducting interviews Problem-solving and commercial transactions Requirements for Rosetta Stone User Workstations Windows 2000 or later Mac OS 10.4 or later 512 MB RAM 1 GHz or faster processor speed 600 MB free hard-drive space (per level) 16-bit sound card 800 x 600 display resolution (1024 x 768 recommended) Internet or phone connection required for product activation Speech recognition feature requires a USB headset microphone (included with purchase) 16X CD-ROM Drive (for installation) Note for Microsoft® Windows Vista™ users: Current Rosetta Stone products have been engineered to install and run on the Windows Vista operating system. Need the rosetta stone latin language. Does anyone have it?

crassbar (2010-03-18)

Hey there. I have RS 3.4.5 and just got these on disc (thanx a lot btw) but it can't seem to read it as a language disc when I try to add the language. I have "burned as disc image" so not sure what to do now.

xxx-yyy-zzz (2010-03-18)

crassbar
do not burn, just mount :-)

crassbar (2010-03-18)

I'm not quite sure I understand. Does "mount" only apply to mounting the image to a virtual drive or do you "mount" the image on a blank disc? I haven't had a problem with burning the image to disc for the other three levels, so I'm not sure what the problem is here. Please help!

crassbar (2010-03-19)

OK, wait. I have it. What's strange is that BOTH Level 4 and 5 load from the Level 5 ISO. The Level 4 ISO just doesn't work at all. Strange.

bill_bob (2010-03-19)

Can not mount either 4 or 5 using several different programs. Has anyone successfully mounted these .iso files and gotten it to work on RS?

xxx-yyy-zzz (2010-03-19)

I did.
But I am Apple not Blue ;-)
Just mounted them and that was that :0

bill_bob (2010-03-19)

I downloaded the files again and tried to mount using Magic ISO and ImageBurn. Each time I get a "Failed to Mount DVD CD/DVD Image" pop-up. Any ideas?

vitel (2010-03-19)

Thank you very much!!!

vitel (2010-03-19)

All work good!!! But for it you Need Rosetta 3.4.5!!!

crassbar (2010-06-22)

Hey Vasio! Do you have access to the supplemental disc for Levels 4 & 5 Home School?

Joe3W (2010-09-14)

could you help me? I can't install level 4 and 5 of German V3, it tells me I must update them.. what should I do? thanks in advance.

jcastro87 (2010-11-20)

I have successfully installed Rosetta Stone V3 Levels 1-3, but when attempting to install Levels 4-5, I experience the same problem that Joe3W has encountered. Any suggestions?

jcastro87 (2010-12-30)

In case anyone encounters the same error message that prevents you from installing levels 4 and 5 without updating Rosetta Stone, the solution is simple: follow the error message. Download and install Rosetta Stone 3.4.5 or 3.4.7, both of which have been uploaded by VasiaZozulia. Needless to say, these versions will update an older version of the program and allow you to install German L4 and L5 and so forth.

ivancdp (2011-01-07)

ATTENTION READ ME ATTENTION
I created an account just to disclose this wonderful information to everyone!
If you use MagicIso to mount files onto a "virtual" drive, I have some grand news for you.
1. Double click the .iso file, it SHOULD open Magic Iso Maker, (if not download it at their site)
2. Find the Tools drop-down menu and go to [Convert]
3. Choose the file that is not mounting (4 or 5) for the source file.
4. Choose the output format for BIN image file (.BIN/.CUE)
5. Save it wherever, doesn't matter, just as long as you can FIND it.
6. Once it does its converting w/e, it will create two files. A .bin, and a .cue.
7. (Pay attention now) Right click the .CUE file and mount it with magic iso in whatever virtual drive you usually use, and tadaaaa!
8. Load it into Rosetta Stone, and profit!
For the record, I am using v3.4.5. I figured this out myself, and it worked for me. I hope for you, it does the same. Auf Wiedersehen! (That's goodbye in German)
