BBC Documentary - Capital Punishment

This BBC documentary (Horizon: How to Kill a Human Being) researches the issue of capital punishment and whether there is a way of killing a human being humanely. Not surprisingly, all the methods of execution used in the USA today cause excruciating pain and can only be called barbaric. And as usual the USA - the self-styled 'leader of the free world' - is among the top ten executioners in the world along with China, Iran, and Saudi Arabia. But with Bronze Age Christians ('An Eye for an Eye') at the helm in America the great majority of people in the US actually supports capital punishment and doesn't want it to be humane or pain-free since punishment in the US is not about re-socialisation, but retribution! And if a few innocents die along the way, well, who cares they will go to heaven anyway.
