Microsoft Foxpro 2.6 for Windows - (includes XP patch)

Includes dzpatch.exe which you must run to patch this to work with XP or any other versions that are later and possibly compatible Instructions included As a former software developer who made a nice living with FoxPro application development (accounting systems and inventory control systems along with Point of Sale systems in addition to several other vertical market applications too) I can tell you this piece of software was a goldmine for those with an understanding of the needs of users and the willingness to provide the features and functionality required to make the best use of it as a tool in the service of humankind. I had a number of well known companies using my software and development expertise in Canada, USA and the United Kingdom especially. It is still a great help to us today, we use it to maintain email lists and to create them for Outlook 2000 etc, and I'm planning to write an Accounting application again soon to post here for you as a free download equally! Bill Gates should give this away too (along with placing XP into the public domain)! The patch works to run it under windows 7 x86 too ?

Any program in this category should be probably be run under XP compatibility mode - if it will run at all under win7, that would be how you might do it. While Microsoft seems to now indicate it was a processor speed issue related problem that required patching for, in my experience it is an operating system environment issue. However its a moot point - the fact is you need to use it in XP or later environments - hoping it will work for anything other than XP. There is a unix version of foxpro 2.6 now and the available out there too by the way, for those so concerned with multi-user issues on non-distributed processing environments (relatively speaking). That was in the past the efficient way for database management in certain applications for the most part. LAN multi-user solutions came later and co-existed for a while. Now its a lot mainly internet access based I would gather.
