The Time Machine by H. G. Wells, 1895 The Time Machine is a novel by H. G. Wells, first published in 1895, later twice made into film of the same title. This novel is generally credited with the popularization of the concept of time travel using a vehicle that allows an operator to travel purposefully and selectively. Absolutely unlistenable. After suffering through the first chapter, read by an effeminate lisper, I gave up with chapter 2's reader who slurs words together like a nervous teenager.
You can get used to a bad narrator and make it through the book if you want, but what I cannot endure, is a different bad narrator for each chapter. Terrible diction aside, the reading isn't even very fluent.
I went through the trouble to recover my forgotten password because this audiobook is so pathetic.
