The song is a remix of "75, Brazil Street" by Nicola Fasano Vs Pat Rich, which itself samples "Street Player" by Chicago. The title is a reference to the Miami street Calle Ocho. The official music video was released on March 9, 2009 from Ultra Records onand to date the video has received over 23,000,000 views, is the 5th most viewed "electronic" music video of all time and the 60th top favourited music video of all time. The single has so far peaked at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the U.S, making it Pitbull's most successful single to date and his first top 10 hit. In the UK the single debuted at #53 then raising to #28 the following week. Rebelution is the fourth studio album by Miami rapper Pitbull, set to be released on September 1, 2009. Armando Christian Pérez (born January 14, 1981), better known by his stage name Pitbull or his other nicknames, "Lil' Chico" or Mr. 305, is an American rapper. His first recorded performance was from the Lil Jon album Kings of Crunk in 2002, after which he released his debut album in 2004 titled M.I.A.M.I. (short for Money Is a Major Issue) under TVT Records. Since then, he has released two other albums under the label, El Mariel in 2006 and The Boatlift in 2007.
