Ego Trippin' is the ninth studio album by Long Beach, California-based rapper Snoop Dogg. The album was released March 11, 2008. Background The album was originally set to feature no guests and showcase Snoop Dogg only, hence the title "Ego Trippin'".[4] However, Snoop Dogg proved this concept untrue as he has scheduled tracks with the likes of Charlie Wilson, among others.[5] Sales The album sold 137,000 copies in its first week, debuting #3 on the US Billboard 200 chart. Ego Trippin' also debuted #1 on the United World Chart, selling 962,000 units than only halving the amount to 400,000 a week after it slipped out of the top 1 to 2nd (reaching 1,340,000 worldwide).[6]It fell back to number 7 in the US the next week realizing a two-third sales decline equal to 257.000 tallying a total of 194.000 since its release.[7] 1.
