It's only the extremists, hundreds of millions of Muslims are just ordinary folks. But here in my city in the USA, a teenage girl fled from home citing death threats from her father over converting to christianity. There was no conclusive proof but she was believed to be truthful and remained in the custody of the authorities till she was 18 and legally free of him.
