I tried it withhttp://thepiratebay.se/tor/3679541/Microsoft_Office_2007_Complete_Third_Edition.
It worked very well and I could update, but subsequently Trend Micro Internet Security (2008) reports:

Works!A friend had cocked up his Office 2007 Enterprise install in some way that the genuine check had kicked in and blocked program menus etc. This .reg patch resolved it!
I was at first a bit sceptic about the sheer size of the .reg file (2 MB) but that i just due to that one of the keys therein is huge, the number of entries are actually quite few.
