FYI the encode has top and bottom black bars in the avi. result.... not the best looking picture. still appreciative, but some movie fans hate it when they can't view a WS movie in full screen. could also be a widescreen movie encoded for a 4:3 screen... leading to black bars on top bottom, left and right.

Many fans didn't like this DVD released in 2004. I imagine that is why Image Entertainment released a Special Edition last year, with subtitles and commentary etc.
This is the way the video came on this DVD. I didn't particularly like it either.
