Description:

These are unfiltered, unmastered files from GHIII. All files where extracted @ 16 / 48 The files where then boosted +4dB, bringing them as loud as they could go before excessive clipping / distortion. The retail CD would be +9dB, so it's much louder than the standard GHIII rips, but not painfully, distorted loud like the retail CD. The files have also been converted to 16 / 44.1 standard CDA quality. I suggest using "Nero Burning Rom" to make CD, make sure to us "no pause between tracks" to eliminate any white noise that may have crept into the "silence" between tracks. S&R has the same fade-in cue as the retail CD. I measured the fade-in to the 10th of a second and duplicated it here, this is the KH version. I kept them as .wav files because I wanted no chance of loss or distortion should you want to EQ or re-master yourself for personal listening. I checked all the timings against the Retail CD so everything is the same -- don't ask me why some of the times are off by a second or to, I think it's because of the measurement of silence at the begining and end of each track, the wav pattern line up exactly. I know I re-posted some 24 / 96 files that where sped up 1/10 of a second per second. That was an error. Sorry if you wasted your time on those. These are as perfect and pristene as I could make them. sign the re-mix petition http://www.gopetition.com/petitions/re-mix-or-remaster-death-magnetic.html

If these songs were burned to CD and then re-ripped to mp3, would they sound better than the mp3's ripped from the retail disc (those ones are terrible)?
