HDTV is the source. Just like DVD or BluRay for movies/TV shows. It is then down-converted for resolution or filesize.
If a file _is_ HD it is typically labelled 720 or 1080 in the filename or torrent. A big clue is the filesize would be MUCH bigger. An hour of 720p typically exceeds 2gigs. Welcome to torrents and thanks for sharing the resolution.
