Shocked at some of the comments left over the years. Not a gay agenda movie - it's a movie showing how it was to be gay back then, and how two men in love coped with the law and society. The law in those days obviously hurt the families still, since gay men couldn't be who they were (or be with the person they loved) without getting ripped up for it. They had to live faux lifestyles. That's what I got from the film anyways. Equally educating and entertaining. The sort of movie you MUST see all the way through.
